Dear Warwick, City Rail Link – Outline Plan submission – Karangahape Station Main Works Please find enclosed an Outline Plan for works related to the construction of the City Rail Link (CRL) in the Karangahape area, referred to as the “Karangahape Station Main Works”. In summary the works relate to: •
The excavation of a temporary access shaft and mining of platform tunnels;

The excavation and construction of the station entrance box at Mercury Lane;
•
The excavation and construction of the station entrance box at Beresford Square; and
•
The operation of each of the Construction Support Areas (CSA) at Mercury Lane and Beresford Square.
The majority of the Karangahape Station Main Works will occur within the boundaries of, and are authorized by, CRL Designation 2500-4 in the Auckland Unitary Plan Operative in Part (AUP). Areas of the mined tunnels and station box excavations and construction components of the works are provided for by CRL Designation 2500-2. City Rail Link Limited is the requiring authority for these designations. The Karangahape Station Main Works are also provided for by the CRL Aotea to North Auckland Line (A2N) regional resource consents. The following documents are now provided: 1. An outline plan under section 176A of the Resource Management Act 1991, for works to be undertaken in accordance with CRL Designations 2500-2 and 2500-4, including: a.
