The event’s opening act will feature a poetry reading by one of Lamb’s three sons, Justin, an award-winning slam poet and New Orleans-based educator. Bestselling author Wally Lamb will stop at St. Joseph’s University on his national book tour for a reading from his new novel, “We Are Water,” on Thursday, October 24, at 7 p.m., in Mandeville Hall’s Wolfington Teletorium (56th Street and City Ave.). His son Justin, a slam poet, will open the event, which will be followed by a signing and reception. The event is free and open to the public.

Lamb is the author of the New York Times bestsellers She’s Come Undone, The Hour I First Believed and I Know This Much Is True. She’s Come Undone and I Know This Much Is True were also Oprah’s Book Club selections.
