The foundation of our current success was created nine years ago, on the shoulders of a small group of families that raised an unprecedented $11.3M to help build the current school. This year, a new group will

WITH YOU lead in the next phase of our development, as we raise $3.5M to fund our first athletic facility expansion.

This project will enhance and enrich our current physical education program and our expanding competitive athletics programs.

At Evergreen Country Day School, our home field facilities will help us develop character, leadership, and perseverance — essential traits in the balanced development of our students,

UR HELP and a critical part of our vision.

WE HOPE TO COUNT YOU AMONG THE NEW GROUP THAT MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO START “BUILDING OUR HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE” AT EVERGREEN COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL.

WHERE WE AR

A Plan For Growing Our Phys Ed and Sports Programs IN 2011, ECDS BEGAN ITS COMPETITIVE SPORTS PROGRAM. OFFERING SOCCER AND BASKETBALL TO BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS.

The growth of our physical education program and the development of our competitive sports program drives the need for this capital project. We call it: LOOKING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM: BUILDING THE HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE

IN 2012, ECDS GIRLS SOCCER WON THEIR CONFERENCE SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD. IN 2013, ECDS BOYS SOCCER WON THEIR CONFERENCE SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD.

IN 2013, ECDS GIRLS SOCCER WON THEIR CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP!

In our vision for the school, having a “home field advantage” is much more than helping the win-loss record. It describes a culture of support and character building that will better prepare our students for the world. Where the perseverance, courage and leadership taught on the playing field will make a difference in their lives, complementing the academic skills learned in the classroom.

The Evergreen community also extends beyond our walls, and the facilities we build will benefit many more organizations, adults, and youth in our service area. We ask you to think beyond this week, this month, or this year. Generations of young adults will benefit from your generosity.

THE

Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lig “BEYOND THE CLASSROOM” IS AN IMPORTANT NEXT STEP IN EVERGREEN COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL’S MISSION TO TAP INTO EACH CHILD’S STRENGTHS — WITH A DYNAMIC OFFERING OF STRONG ACADEMICS AND EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. WE KNOW THAT CHARACTER TRAITS AND SKILLS LEARNED IN THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS HELP OUR STUDENTS DEVELOP LEADERSHIP, COMMUNICATION SKILLS, CONFIDENCE AND THE PERSEVERANCE TO SUCCEED IN LIFE.

DVANTAGE

ghting of a fire.

– William Butler Yeats

Our student body is actively engaged in sports and physical development. We’ve had impressive results in competitive sports despite the lack of real facilities to practice on at our campus. The new turf field and gymnasium will be our physical and social home base.

For our young students in the Nest, their early child development will expand and grow with the new play structures.

WE HOPE YOU WILL JOIN OUR CAMPAIGN WITH A MEANINGFUL DONATION. AND THEN JOIN US ON OUR NEW FIELDS TO WATCH OUR CHILDREN GROW.

THE ECDS “BEYOND THE CLASSROOM” INITIATIVE WILL ENABLE US TO DELIVER EVEN MORE COMPLETELY ON OUR MISSION:

TO INSPIRE THE YOUNG MINDS OF OUR FUTURE.
