Our ground breaking expansion will bring gymnastics home, modernize Camp Mahackeno, and enlarge our Center for Wellness

For five generations, an enduring partnership between the Bedford family and our community has created a place where the young, the old, the abled, the disabled and those in between can find wellness and friendship. Together we built the Westport Weston Family YMCA and together we’ve made it more than just a facility. Since 1923, we’ve made the Y a home.

Gymnastics will return to the main campus and be housed in an 11,000 sq. ft. modern training facility.

Camp Mahackeno’s 25 acres will be fully revitalized for the first time since 1955.

Our brand new 11,000 sq. ft. addition will give our youth and teams room to GROW! The new facility will be home to our nationally recognized gymnastics program and will feature:

Through the YMCA gymnastics programs and Showtime teams, our daughter has developed a support network which inspires her to take on challenges, teaches her to advocate for herself and others, and instills in her a steadfast confidence that she is capable and valued.

The Westport Weston Family Y’s Camp Mahackeno has been one of the crown jewels of this community for the past 81 years. My summers as a child spent with friends swimming, canoeing and time at the archery range are memories I have carried throughout the last 50 years of my life. I am extremely proud of growing up in Westport and of being a camper at Mahackeno. It is wonderful to know that this renovation of the beloved camp will allow it be an experience in the lives of children and their families in the community for generations.
