I’m Clara!

Illustrated Book An ekiben is a Japanese bento box that is sold on train station, usually featuring local specialty ingredients. An ekiben usually features rice, some meat and some vegetables, although sometimes it also provides sandwich and such. Ekiben is a great way to tastes different food from all over japan and is more affordable than eating out in each city. The meal are usually well balanced and healty as well. I specifically choose ekiben as they have a very vibrant color with oustanding presentation. This book is a guide book writen in both english and japanese. It is a small travel sized book that helps people on what ekiben they might find in a certain perfecture so they would not miss it when they travel there. Illustrated Greeting Cards Set This is a series of 15 DC comic themed greeting card set for various national and international holiday. This was done for a project in illustration design class. I tried to connect the superpower and character of each character to the holidays, for example, I drew flash winning a marathon for marathon’s day. I tried to make it look a bit retro since pop art comic is quite old by now. For religious holidays, I tend to avoid using villains since religion is usually a sensitive subject. Sceen Design Development
This is a group project with Desy Soelistio. I drew the character, background character, main menu, UI, the animatics and I assemble the game in Construct 2. Our game is a casual game that can be played using touch control and mouse click. The theme of the game is food fighting. The main character have to walk through a hallway full of people throwing foods to each other. The objective is to get the food from the canteen lady and bring it back to the entrance safely. We add 1 more level from the midterm game and fix the control. We add slide button to make it easier to avoid obstacle throughout the level. We also add additional feature. Before the main character will win then he get the food. Now the main character have to walk all the way back to the entrance. The illustration on this game is made on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The game is assembled on Construct 2.

Cartoon Vector Art This is a series of commission work of a game called Growtopia. Growtopia is a online multiplayer crafting game on android, iOs, macintosh and windows. I drew growtopia player’s character during a period of time. This series is created on Adobe Illustrator CC.

Vector Portrait This illustration is made for Fillbridge.com as a freelance work. The company is a company which helps people from around the world to attend university. They wanted to cater the middle eastern customer as well, which is why the ordered the illustration of a man and a woman wearing arabian apparels. Made with Adobe Illustrator CC.

Hollywood Glamor Themed This is a story of a wife of a crime lord in shanghai during the world war 2 in 1941. The character Is based on Anna Lan-Ting in the movie Shanghai (2010) who is portrayed by Gong Li. Mrs. Lan-Ting is the wife of Anthony Lan-Ting, an influential crime lord. She is portrayed a proper lady with a rather rather arrogant attitude. This photo is shot with Canon 70D in Red Studio.

Food Photography I would like to create a rustic feeling of a morning handmade breakfast which was fresh, healthy and colorful. I want to recreate the feeling of just waking up, feeling fresh while cooking breakfast in the morning sunlight. I shot this in a studio which have a concrete floor. I put the pan on the floor to give a better contrast in the picture. This picture is shot inside a studio with Canon 80D.

Product Design and Packaging Design Popav is a healthy vegetable chips that is fun to eat. The chips are shaped like a claw so people can wear it on their fingers like a monster claw. Popav also provides a cheese dipping sauce for people to dip their claw into. The target market is the younger generation, who is also known as the digital generation. Nowdays, people loved food not only for their taste, but also for their look. They are looking for something ‘intagram-able’. Some food they will be able to brag on social media. With popav, a student can buy a healthy, tasty snack for the same price as their regular junk food. Not only for consumptions, the packaging itself can be collected as collectibles. Popav provide them a fun way to eat snacks healthily with such an affordable price. This project is made with Adobe Illustrator and Autodesk Maya.

Packaging Design Syamil is a supplement for children. It is honey with dates fruit is quite a popular product with uninteresting packaging design. Our goal in this project is to redesign the packaging for Syamil. I tried avoiding bees for inspiration as they are very overused. I came up with the concept of ‘devourer’. I proceed to research on animals which are notorious for honey consumptions. I want to pass the message that ‘syamil’ is a delicious honey which cannot be resisted by animals. I choose 3 animals and then simplified them into a box.. I tried for a neon looking color as it will attract attention and looks more modern. I found contrasting color to work more effectively. This packaging is made on Adobe Illustrator.

Stefan Sagmeister Tribute Book Stefan Sagmeister is a daring graphic designer who do things out of the box. This book is made as a tribute for him in a typograpghical style. It features hand lettering and dynamic colorful layout that fits well with his image.

Branding
Personal Branding I am a person who believes that a design not only have to look good, but it has to have a strong concept to back it up. I see myself as a fun, wacky personality who loves to experiment with new ideas. The logo itself shows a brain with a brush acting as the brain stem. A brain stem is one of the most part of the body which controls the flow of message between the brain and the rest of the body. The logo symbolize how creativity plays a huge part in my life. The logo is designed in a simple cartoon like manner to give the fun and wacky feel to it. A quality which I believe is one of the basis of my design.
Branding
Personal Branding Bonita Rachel is a person who embraces nature as one with her self. She love adventuring on her scooter exploring different part of nature, wether it’s the beach or the mountains. She has a free spirit in her. The logo itself is developed from her unique personality. Using the keyword Free Spirit, Adventure, Freedom and Nature, this logo is developed. The logo itself is inspired from a seagull. A seagull, despite its name, does not live exclusively by the sea. It has the ability to easily adapt to its surrounding. In Native America, it symbolizes a carefree attitude, versatility and freedom. It also symbolizes creativity. All the quality that represents Bonita Rachel very well. The logo follows the keyword freedom. The logo is developed from the initials B and R. The strokes in the initials are not attached to one another, there are no restrain in it. It symbolizes freedom. The color choosen is blue and yellow. Although Bonita have a great passion about nature, she loves pop art culture as well. The yellow represents sunshine and the blue represents the sky and sea. The color is altered to be more fun and pop. The whole logo consist of an initial and the full name of Bonita Rachel. The rest of the name is handwriten as a handwriting shows a more human and natural feel. However intricate and flowy a font is, it will gives a un-natural and machine like feel to it.
