CITY PLACE TOWER 2019-2020

Project Scope: Interior renovation of a 1980’s office building into a 5-star InterContinental Hotel. This project includes the Concourse, Lobby, and Hotel (levels 4-10). This 200 key hotel includes two fitness centers, 3 bespoke bar lounges, as well as a 5-star restaurant and pool deck.

Project contributions: Responsible for the management and interior modeling of the lobby and guestroom floors in Revit. Aided in the production of construction drawings. Collaborated with lead designers during FF&E selection. Created material boards, sourced concept imagery, and assisted with client presentation packages.

Project Scope: Located in the city of Reston, Virginia, this project is comprised of both a hotel and luxury condo units. This project includes a fitness center, two bars, lounges, ballrooms, office space as well as a 5-star restaurant and pool deck. Project contributions: Responsible for the interior modeling of the lobby and condo units in Revit. Collaborated with lead designers during the conceptual interior design process. Illustrated interior design options for the lead designers to go into thefinal client presentation.

J.W. MARRIOTT, RESTON STATION Lobby L O B B Y C O N C E P T // Once inside, the parkway bustles with life. During the day light dances through the double volume space as visitors begin the procession down to reception. Llinear elements of wood, metal, and glass come together to create a space that is reminiscent of walking through the lovely trees of the Reston hillside. To the right of the parkway is a sculptural wall serving as a connector between the lively, bustling commerce bar and the quieter, more residential lounge. A canopy of illuminated metal panels above leads the visitor down to a beautifully lit portal at the end of parkway. Whether this portal is made of well-crafted metal, wood, or reeded glass, this portal serves as a gateway to the beginning of the guest stay.

The commerce bar is open and engaged with the city. It is your corner bar for coffee and light bites during the day and transforms into a lively energetic bar at night.

The commerce bar is a well-crafted extension of the exterior façade. Metal mullions from the façade wrap inside to create an elegant canopy over a long sleek bar. The transparency of the inside/outside experience flows through and energizes the lobby.
