Vocabulary • Closed loop design – when a product is designed to have another function after its use thereby eliminating all waste. • Cradle to cradle – refers to a closed loop design process. When a product is no longer useful but can become material for another product. • Pre-consumer waste – manufacturing waste that has not reached the consumer. • Post-consumer waste – waste collected after the consumer has disposed of it.
