ADELE OBICE Yemen, il giusto inizio... Per quanto si abbia letto o sentito raccontare ci sono posti dove bisogna andare direttamente, volti che bisogna vedere coi propri occhi, strade che bisogna attraversare con le proprie gambe. una terra dove passato e presente convivono in un connubio che ha dello straordinario; un mondo a sé che può dare tutto e togliervi ancora una volta il respiro appena girato l’angolo. Non c’è un percorso giusto o sbagliato da intraprendere, luoghi da privilegiare a discapito di altri quello che bisogna fare in Yemen è scendere in strada e lasciarsi portare dal flusso della vita: questo è il giusto inizio per l’avventura. Buona strada! As you have read or heard ,there are places where you have to go, faces that should see with your own eyes, roads you have to cross on your own feet. A land where past and present coexist in an extraordinary combination, a world that can give everything and take your breath away once again just around the corner. There is no right or wrong path to take,(places better than others) places to be favored at the expense of others in Yemen, all you have to do is go into the streets and drifting away from the flow of life: this is the right beginning for the adventure. Have a good trip! On a beau s’informer sur certaines places ou en entendre parler, il y a des endroits où l’on doit se rendre directement, des visages qu’il faut voir de ses propres yeux, des routes qu’il nous faut nous-mêmes traverser. Des lieux où cohabitent passé et présent, combinés de façon extraordinaire, en un monde qui peut tout donner, et vous couper le souffle à nouveau toutes les fois que vous tournez au coin de la rue. Il n’ya pas de bon ou de mauvais itinéraires, d’endroits à privilégier ou à délaisser. Il n’y a rien d’autre qu’on puisse faire au Yémen que d’aller dans les rues, et se laisser porter par le flux de la vie: c’est un bon départ pour l’aventure. Bonne route!

MATTIA MAMMOLITI Taiwan Taiwan è un isola tra Giappone e Cina, e questa obiezione ultimo paese è il potere sull’isola, ma Taiwan non è cinese nè giapponese. Ha una cultura e storia molto complicata con un sacco di conflitti e rivoluzioni, la sua attuale è più difficile con l’ombra della Cina che pendono sopra della sua libertà e indipendenza. Pensano che la Cina è pronta per iniziare a 3,000 missili contro questa piccola isola di 30.000 km2. Taiwan is the Island between Japan and China, and this last country claims its power on the island; but Taiwan is neither Chinese and Japanese. Its culture and story are very complicated by a lot of conflicts and revolutions; its present is even more difficult because of China’s shadow hanging over its freedom and independence . China is possibly ready to throw 3.000 missiles against this small island of 30.000 km2. Taiwan Taiwan est l’île entre le Japon et la Chine, et, alors que cette dernière revendique son pouvoir sur l’île, Taiwan n’est ni chinoise, ni japonaise. Sa culture et son histoire sont compliquées par un grand nombre de conflits et de révolutions ; son présent est encore plus apologétique, à cause de l’ombre de la Chine qui plane sur sa liberté et son indépendance. On dit que la Chine est prête pour le démarrage que 3.000 missiles contre cette petite île de 30.000 km2.

MATTHIEU ROGGERO Ex Dormitorio - Piazza Sabotino Fine pomeriggio di fine luglio... Caldo afoso, umidità alta, cielo coperto... Arrivo armato di macchina fotografica davanti a questa ex clinica... Sono le 18e15, con un mio amico video maker, Marco Iozzo, abbiamo avuto il “compito” di rendere pubblico il degrado e le difficoltà che vivono quotidianamente questi ragazzi, rifugiati politici, provenienti dall’Africa. Vivono in 350 su 5 piani, non c’è una porta intatta, non un cavo coperto o una tubatura che non perde... Le norme di sicurezza sono ovviamente inesistenti e la pulizia... be... bassa... Ma non so esattamente di chi sia la colpa per quest’ultima... Venite a farvi un giro con me... July...Late afternoon... Sweltering heat, high humidity, overcast sky ... I arrive with my camera in front of this former hospital ... It’s 18.15, with my videomaker friend , Marco Iozzo, we had the “duty” to disclose the degradation and the difficulties that these children, these political refugees from Africa live daily. There are 350 people living in 5 floors, there’s not a door intact, not a covered cable ,or a pipe that doesn’t leak water... The safety and cleanliness standards don’t exist ... and the building cleaning...well ... low ... But I don’t know exactly who is guilty for this ... Une fin d’après-midi à la fin du mois de juillet… Chaleur étouffante, humidité élevée, ciel couvert ... J’arrive armé d’un appareil photo devant cette ancienne clinique... Il est 18h15, et, avec mon ami réalisateur Marco Iozzo, nous avons ressenti le “devoir” de révéler la dégradation et les difficultés que vivent au quotidien ces réfugiés politiques en provenance d’Afrique. Ils vivent à 350 sur 5 étages, il y n’a pas une porte intacte, pas un câble couvert ou une tuyauterie qu’il ne perse pas... Les règles de sûreté sont de toute évidence inexistantes, et la propreté... est... illusoire... Mais je ne sais pas exactement qui l’on doit blâmer pour cette dernière... Venez faire un tour avec moi...

ANTONIO STRAFELLA La mia battaglia La mia battaglia riflette su un “gruppo”: l’esercito. Questo lavoro è nato da una conversazione con un mio amico che lavora nell’esercito italiano, mi sono reso conto che quel gioco innocente dei soldatini con cui giocavo da bambino si ripete nel mondo reale. Molti ragazzi, così come i miei soldatini, combattono in guerre senza bandiere, senza nome, ammazzando altre persone che si ritrovano lì, magari proprio per la stessa motivazione dell’avversario: un idea di nazione astratta alla quale apparteniamo. “Sono pronto per morire per l’Italia, il mio paese... ma in realtà non so che cosa sia quest’Italia alla quale appartengo.” I soldatini in questa foto sono tutti feroci combattenti, senza volto ne bandiera, ma tutti in piedi sulla stessa carne sanguinante. My battle reflects on a “group”: the army. This work was born from a conversation with a friend of mine who works in the Italian army, I realized that the innocent game of toy soldiers I played when I was a child take place in the real world. A lot of children, as well as my toy soldiers, fight in wars without name and flag, killing other people who are there,maybe just for the same reason of their enemies: we belong to an abstract idea of nation. “I’m ready to die for Italy, my country ... but I don’t know exactly what is this Italy which I belong.” The soldiers in this picture are all fierce fighters, without faces and flags, but all standing on the same bloody flesh. Mon combat réfléchit sur un «groupe»: l’armée. Ce travail est né d’une conversation avec un de mes amis qui travaille dans l’armée italienne, j’ai réalisé que le jeu que j’ai joué quand j’étais petit, se répète dans le monde réel. Beaucoup d’enfants, ainsi que mes soldats et ont combattu dans des guerres sans drapeaux, sans nom, tuant d’autres personnes qui y rencontrer, peut-être juste pour la même motivation de l’adversaire: une idée abstraite de la nation à laquelle nous appartenons. “Je suis prêt à mourir pour l’Italie, mon pays ... mais ne savent pas vraiment quelle est cette Italie dont je fais partie.” Les soldats dans cette image sont tous de féroces combattants, drapeau sans visage, mais tous debout sur la même chair sanglante.
