Here, our students live and learn about becoming an independent adult developing the skills required for living a full and active life. Learning is always geared to each young person's need. Students develop skills that prepare them for their future with a planned reduction in support as independence skills grow. Adventure, good times, Success and pure fun Oakwood is a friendly college where we seek to provide all-round learning for young people with learning difficulties - large enough to offer a wide variety of learning, yet small enough to offer individual attention. At Oakwood's heart are people who care about each young person. Our students are fully supported. Choice and individual wishes are truly valued and encouraged, whilst providing the skills needed to become self-reliant in leading purposeful and fulfilling lives.

Helped by a personal tutor and key-worker, individual programs are designed with just the right support, encouragement and guidance to enable students to grow and develop. Express yourself Celebration of progress, enjoyment and participation are the order of the day with lots of fun ways of learning new things and putting them into practice. We’ll help identify and build on students' interests in a variety of art forms, while facilitating self-confidence and self-awareness through media, music, theater, visual art, or dance. Students also have excellent opportunities of voicing their opinions.
