Beddington Park Academy is an ‘Outstanding’ Primary Academy. We are a two-form entry school with a nursery, set in grounds on the edge of Beddington Park.

At Beddington, we pride ourselves on the relationships we have with our children and families, ensuring that all children are known, valued and their individual needs recognised and met. As part of STEP Academy Trust, we promote five key values throughout all our learning and everything we do: Passion, Urgency, Positivity, Aspiration and Commitment.
We carefully consider what knowledge and skills children will need to have in order to be successful in an ever-changing future. We have high academic aspirations for all our children and as a result standards are high. However, it is equally important that they develop and grow into well-rounded individuals, with an intellectual curiosity to become good learners.
We aim for our children to strive for success and persevere when they are challenged, but equally to know how to win with dignity and lose with grace. Through innovative teaching and a broad, balanced and creative curriculum, our children receive memorable experiences both in and out of the classroom.
At Beddington Park, we have specialist teachers for sport and music (including piano, drumming and singing teaching). We also work towards an end of year achievement awards, which promotes the arts and all pupils achievements. We continue to further develop our facilities inside and outside of the academy.

STEP Academy Trust was established in 2011. The mission of the Trust, to improve the life chances of all children, where we have the capacity to make a difference, we are morally bound to so, is what binds the Trust together as one.
Our unique way of operating as one organisation across multiple sites allows an agreed level of consistency, and support, which enables all children to access the highest level of education.

Because we work as one team across many academies, your child will have the opportunity to enjoy inter-STEP tournaments for Sports and Debating. We also safeguard your child’s health by providing a nutritious meal, freshly prepared by our in-house catering team.

I love how I represent other children in the academy on the Pupil Parliament. I like the fact that I can act like the Prime Minister. I have learnt about the skills of debating and this has helped me to be patient, be a good listener and know that children have the right to speak.

My journey here has been extraordinary, leaving at the end of the academic year will be heartbreaking. There are many amazing opportunities: before, during and after school. I can assure you that your child will make long-lasting positive memories here. The trips are fantastic and let us explore many new places.
