We develop a love of learning and lifelong friendships. Our goals are to engender a sense of wonder about the world where pupils learn eagerly and wholeheartedly; where they are able to laugh, enjoy and appreciate life. Friendship is powerful and our 3 to 18 through school offers lasting opportunities for strong relationships extending throughout life. Practical experiences, technology and books all have their place. These are the cornerstones from which each child blossoms and flourishes.

The value of learning, the understanding of responsibility, good judgement and clear thinking go hand in hand. Character qualities underpin our teaching and learning. These are experienced by all pupils through excellent pastoral care. The atmosphere in the school is one of nurturing and support to which pupils readily respond. Character education ensures that all pupils have an outstanding moral awareness. As a result of our caring ethos and emphasis on right thinking, wise actions flow. Small class sizes and dedicated teachers build confident and resilient children who show impressive individual academic growth and achievement.

Our pupils develop their individuality, meet challenges, think independently, act collectively and become their best selves. The development of spirituality and Christian values is inherent in the atmosphere we foster which allows pupils to become strong in understanding; of themselves and of others. We expect our pupils to become active thinkers through the presentation of challenging ideas. Our School is a supportive community which maintains a strong ethic of concern and respect for others. Cooperation between pupils and staff is the foundation for our School’s equal emphasis on academic achievement, pastoral care and co-curricular opportunity. Each offers opportunities for progression of personal growth.

freedom “We want our students to go out into the world feeling themselves greatly beloved of God, unafraid, at peace with themselves and their neighbours and spiritually strong.” Geith Plimmer, co-founder of Fan Court

As our students progress through the school they become increasingly able to work independently and they are ready to move with confidence to the future. Their Claremont experience is the foundation, giving each child strong building blocks to support future challenges, from which rewards will follow in their journey of self discovery.

The torch is lit –‘tis now for us To keep alive the flame, And with Thy help we’ll build the house, “Let Claremont be the name.” From the School Song
