“All the world’s a stage.� We are a selective school with specialisms in Performing and Visual Arts together with Maths and Computing. This is an exciting and rewarding combination. It enables us to use the power of creativity and performance to support our students in their emotional development and creative potential and to support those who mentor and teach students in the use of inspiring and highly effective techniques. These specialisms drive improved outcomes for our students by providing them with access to the latest learning technology and practice, a rich programme of activities and a culture of creativity. Through the Arts there are opportunities to perform in Dance, Drama and Music or express themselves through Visual Media. The Music Technology Suite and the Recording Studio provide access to the latest technology while a modern professional theatre, photography facilities and dance studio give students the opportunity to explore and develop their creative potential. Mathematics uses a thematic approach with the opportunity for students to use their creativity to experience how mathematics is used in various professions such as health, journalism and the police force. Students have the opportunity to use technology to record their own documentaries exploring Mathematics and as a Microsoft Academy we are able to offer industry standard qualifications in addition to GCSE and A levels. Extension and support are offered at all levels, including workshops on codebreaking, Mathematics competitions and careers advice.

Change is an inevitable and essential part of life so we invest time in preparing your daughter to manage change. Learning Managers track individual student progress and target support where necessary. Assistant Learning Managers are non teaching members of staff available to support your daughter on a day to day basis and liaise with you. We believe in open, transparent and swift communication. You receive a formal report each term whether by a full written report, a shorter interim or a one to one consultation with your daughter’s teachers. Our parent gateway supports this by providing you with live information about your daughter such as reports, attendance and her timetable on a secure internet link.
