1. Print and cut out the Butterfly template on page 11. Lay onto a sheet of CleverPatch™ Construction Foam and trace around the template. Carefully cut out the pieces using a box cutter. Adult supervision recommended when using scissors or box cutter.
2. Use the template again to cut out the Aluminium Embossing Foil, making sure to punch holes in the foil where shown. Use a pencil to ‘draw’ on a decorative design.
3. Glue rhinestones onto your wings for extra sparkle. Once dry, glue the foil wings onto the foam wing pieces and allow to dry. Use a box cutter to carefully create the holes as indicated by the foil.
4. Use the body template to cut out 2 pieces of orange cover paper, then attach to either side of the foam body piece.
5. Following the original template pieces, use a box cutter to carefully create all the holes shown. Push a pencil through each hole to widen for easy assembly.
6. Your butterfly is now ready for assembly. Follow the instructions on page 12 and watch your butterfly take flight!

Seagull Game Use this template to create the Seagull game on page 3. We have created this game at 100% in size but you can enlarge these pieces to any size you like! To play the Seagull Game: Seagull’s love to eat chips! As chips are a sometimes food your aim is to get as many fish pieces as possible. Each player spins the wheel to see what their seagull will get. Whatever the spinner lands on is what your seagull has to pick up. Use 20 pieces of painted pasta as chips and 20 patty pans with fish inside as fish. Once all the pieces have been picked up by the seagull the player with the most fish pieces wins!

‘Mechanical’ Butterfly Assembly Instructions Follow these instructions to assemble your ‘Mechanical’ Butterfly. You’ll need: • Mechanical Butterfly
• 2 x Metal Bottle Tops
• Craft Line - Clear
• Scissors
• Elastic (80cm)
• Glue
• Natural Wooden Bead Steps: 1. Cut 2 pieces of craft line 25cm long and one piece 2.1m long. 2. Place the body piece between the 2 wings, aligning the holes on all 3 pieces. (Fig. 1) 3. Thread one 25cm piece of craft line through the holes lining up on the right side and then back through the holes lining up on the left side. Tie firmly to secure. (Fig. 2) 4. With the wings still aligned you should see 2 holes that line up 2/3 of the way along the bird’s wings. Thread the 2.1m length of craft line through the holes on the right side. Push the line back through the holes on the left side. Tie a knot at the loose ends of the craft line. (Fig. 3) 5. Pull the wings apart. Pull both pieces of the craft line evenly, above the butterfly’s body. (Fig. 4) 6. Thread the elastic through the middle hole on your butterfly’s back. Tie to secure. (Fig. 5) 7. Pull the loose end of the elastic up to the top midpoint of the craft line. Adjust the end of the elastic until it allows the butterfly’s body to float with its wings sticking out straight. Tie the elastic to the craft line to secure. (Fig. 6) 8. To create a weight for your butterfly, attach a metal bottle top to each side of the wooden bead with glue and allow to dry. Thread your remaining 25cm piece of craft line through the hole on the bottom of your butterfly and then onto the bead and tie to secure. (Fig. 7)
