•
Jute Twine – Purple – 70 Metres – 17901

Jute twine and balsa wood combine beautifully to create this elegant Easter door hanger. So simple, yet effective and each hanger can be personalised with different collage materials or even your favourite Easter verse! The possibilities are endless!
Mix and match different coloured twine!
1. Collect four Balsa sticks. Cut two pieces so that they are 11 cm in length.
2. Using the four sticks and a hot glue gun, glue each piece together to make a frame (Portrait orientation). Sewing pins are helpful to hold the frame in place if using PVA.
3. Create the cross by wrapping the twine around and around within the centre of the frame. Once complete tie a knot at the back and glue the loose ends down.
4. Repeat step three changing the direction of the twine.
5. Using a hot glue gun, glue on a piece of twine (22 cm) to the back of the design. This will be used to hang your design.
6. Finally, you may wish to decorate your design using bright colours or your favourite Easter verse. Your hanger is now ready to be displayed.

The flame of the Paschal candle symbolises the eternal presence of Christ, light of the world in the midst of his people. It carries the symbols of Jesus, the cross, the year and the alpha and omega for the eternity of Jesus’ reign. Create your own personal Paschal candle or perhaps make one for your family as you celebrate the holy days of Easter.
1. Cut a piece of white tissue paper to match the height and width of your candle (sizes may vary).
2. Decorate the tissue paper using coloured markers.
3. Wrap your design around the candle and cut off any excess tissue paper.
4. Wrap a piece of non-stick baking paper around your candle, allowing extra room for you to hold onto during the heating process.
5. Using a hair dryer on a hot setting, heat the entire candle until you can see the wax melting through the baking paper.
6. Remove the baking paper and set your candle aside to cool. Finish by decorating your candle with glitter glue. Your candle is now ready to display.

1. Prepare your Marbling Inks in a small bowl. It’s a good idea to put on gloves for this activity as it can be quite messy.
2. Add drops of colour to your bowl in your desired pattern. Use a wooden skewer to create some extra patterns!
3. Remove the ribbon from the egg and then carefully, holding on to the edges, gently dip one side onto the surface of the water and lift it back up. The other side will remain blank for the verse.
4. Allow the excess to drip off the egg and lay the egg onto a piece of paper towel to dry completely. Try as many colour combinations as you like!
5. Once dry, turn the egg over. Use the permanent marker to write your favourite Easter verse onto the white surface.
6. To make your design permanent, carefully apply Mod Podge® over the topusing a soft brush. Allow it to dry before repeating on the other side.
7. Once your eggs are completely dry, thread the ribbon back through the hole and tie a knot at the top.
8. Your marbled Easter eggs are now ready to display!
