Patchwork Tray Materials: •

3D Wooden Tray – Each – 18380

Other Materials Required: Scissors, paint brushes, scrap paper

1. Assemble your wooden tray then paint it white with acrylic paint. Allow to dry.

2. Cut out geometric shapes using the Mother’s Day craft paper.

This simple patchwork tray is perfect for serving Mum breakfast in bed!

3. Using scrap paper, create a template the same size as the base of your wooden tray. Arrange your geometric shapes to fit accordingly.

4. Use Mod Podge® to glue the paper to the tray. Seal the design by covering it in a thin layer of Mod Podge®. Your tray is now ready to use! 3

1. Use masking tape to create a line around the middle of your mug.

Warm Mum’s heart this Mother’s day with her own personalised mug!

2. Use Glass and Porcelain Markers to colour in the bottom half of your mug. This will act as a base underneath the glitter. Be sure to pick a similar colour. Allow to dry.

3. Remove the masking tape and place your mug in a cold household oven. Once the temperature has reached 160°C, bake your mug for 90 minutes to heat set your design.

4. Coat the bottom half of your mug in PVA glue.

5. Apply glitter onto the wet glue and allow to dry.

6. Paint a layer of Mod Podge® over the glitter to seal it. Please note your mug WILL NOT be dishwasher safe.

7. Write a word or message using the same process of PVA glue, glitter and Mod Podge®. Your mug is now ready for Mum!

These dioramas can be decorated in a number of ways. Use the steps below as a guide and mix up the techniques to create a unique combination of your own!

1. Brush PVA glue all over the base of the diorama and then cover in purple glitter, making sure to keep the holes clear. Allow to dry.

2. Assemble the diorama with the taller person standing behind the shorter person.

3. Use the template provided on page 8 to cut clothes out for you and your Mum. We used adhesive foam sheets.

4. Peel the backing paper from your clothes pieces and press them down firmly on the wooden diorama.

5. Use the Foam Glitter Star Stickers and Foam Mother’s Day Stickers to accessorise your clothes and people.

6. Cut out your faces from the photographs. Attach them to the back of your people diorama faces. Your diorama is ready to display!

Other Materials Required: Splash mat, Bowl, Water, Zip-Lock Bag and Iron.

1. Put down a splash mat and wear gloves to protect your hands from the dye. Dampen both ends of the scarf in water, squeezing out any excess.

2. Apply the pink dye first. Massage it into the scarf at least 6cm from the ends. Leave the ends white for the purple dye to be applied to.

3. Apply purple dye to the very ends of the scarf, massaging it into the fabric and gently combining it with the edge of the pink that was just applied.

4. Carefully place the scarf into a plastic zip-lock bag and place in the fridge overnight to allow the colours to develop and sink in.

5. Remove the scarf from the fridge and rinse under cold water. For a stronger pigment, allow the dye to air dry completely before rinsing, however we were after a pastel look.

6. To heat set the scarf, carefully iron it on a low heat setting. Adult supervision is required when using an iron. Now your scarf is ready to gift or use!

Create a crafty gift Mum will love! This cute keychain is a great little keepsake.

1. Remove the small chain from the key ring. Select a piece of ribbon and thread it through the key ring, ensuring the ring is in the middle of the ribbon.

2. Thread on two beads and push them to the top of the ribbon.

3. Use a hot glue gun to glue together the two halves of the ribbon. Adult supervision is recommended when using a glue gun.

4. Glue the MUM tiles onto the ribbon.

5. Thread another two beads underneath your tiles.

6. Turn your key chain over and glue the final bead to the ribbon to hold them in place.

7. Cut the bottom of the ribbon to finalise the design. Your keychain is now ready to gift to Mum!
