Welcome to YOUR new event…
Seminar Programme
Trade Days is a new event for businesses who retail, wholesale, manufacture or supply products for the mobility, independent living and assistive technology market.
Trade Days is all about growing your business and, apart from having the time to talk, negotiate and plan with new and existing partners, you’ll find plenty of interesting, useful and relevant seminars and workshops taking place over the two days.
It is a ‘trade-only’ event created at the request of the Trade which demanded its own event that would be more relevant, more focussed and more tailored to retailers and suppliers needs and which would allow the creation of new business relationships, better buying opportunities, provide practical educational sessions and generate ideas for growth.
There’ll be something for everyone, from business owners, managing directors, technicians, showroom staff and sales teams.
Trade Days is your event, brought to you through a partnership between multi award-winning healthcare event organiser CloserStill Media and BHTA Engage and supported by THIIS Magazine, Medtrade, Medilink, DLF and a number of other very influential organisations. The first event takes place on October 5th-6th at the NEC Birmingham.
The Show Floor Whether you are interested in high end, high margin products or unique retail packaged items that will sell well in your showroom or online outlets, you can be sure to find them on the Trade Days exhibition floor. Over 142 trade suppliers will be showcasing both new and best-selling products, many of which will have special show offers, so make sure you are there to benefit first hand!
With thanks to our founder members:

Visiting Trade Days will save you £££ “Fantastic news! At last, somebody has listened. A dedicated trade show is long overdue and I think it will breathe new life into the healthcare exhibition circuit. A different approach with some new ideas is just what we need to stimulate fresh thinking. I’m genuinely looking forward to this new opportunity and I’ll be supporting the initiative all the way - let’s hope the rest of the industry do too!” Geoff Morris, Director, Uniscan
“From a retailer point of view this type of ‘Trade Only’ event is long overdue. Although it’s always useful to attend other events where there is a mixture of visitors, it can be very difficult to actually ‘talk business’. A couple of days where we can discuss confidential issues and spend more time in detailed discussions is just what we need right now.” Alastair Gibbs, Managing Director TPG DisableAids Ltd
“Our industry has grown tremendously over the past few years with many more retailers and suppliers active in many more sectors. There was always going to be a time when the industry would be understandably keen to have its own space when everyone in the business can come together to do business. I believe that time is now.” David N Russell, Editor, THIIS Magazine
5th & 6th October 2014, NEC, Birmingham
Why should you take time out your business to visit? Because… you’ll be coming to something new, something different and something that has been created and designed especially for you by people who you know and do business with. This event is solely about the trade with no consumers admitted to the show. Because… we guarantee you’ll discover lots of new stuff. New ways to do business, new ways to sell, new markets to sell into and new products to add to your range. Because… you can bring the whole team and every single one of them will get something out of being there. Whether it’s meeting suppliers for the first time, learning in one of the seminars or just spending time being ‘part of the industry’, it will be time very well spent. Because… you’ll spend time in a space that is all about the industry you are involved in, with time to really think about your own business and it’s the perfect time to do business with the people you need to sit down with. Because… you’ll see things that you have never seen at a UK show before. Things that will give you great ideas for the future, things that will help you increase your bottom line and things that will make you very pleased you took the decision to come along. Because… we appreciate it is hard to take time away from your business. So we have opened the show on the Sunday, at a time when you won’t be distracted by the day to day things that you have to deal with. Because… many of the people you do business with will be there - it’s their enthusiasm that has driven the development of Trade Days Because… if you don’t come, you’ll miss out!
