Hold a Board Meeting As we get closer to the start of school, making a budget and having clear goals for your club is extremely important. All clubs should be holding monthly Board meetings. If you haven't been doing that, August is a great time to start so you can come into the school year strong.

Kiwanis Attendance Kiwanis presence is an important part of having a successful Key Club. You can attend their meetings or invite them to your Board meetings and the DCMs. This will help with bonding and having a good relationship. August is the month they make their budgets, so you may want to hold a joint meeting about budgets.

Begin planning! - Start planning PTP fundraisers and saving for Fall Rally. - Begin planning the way you want to recruit members. - Begin planning a special Member Orientation event. Planning now will be extremely helpful so these events will be successful!

Newsletters - Writing ten articles for the division newsletter is a requirement for the V.P, so why not write one this month and raise your AAR score!? - Publishing a newsletter for your own club is also a great way to inform members and help your score.

Do 2-3 Service Events - You can attend division events or plan your own specific to your club. - The Cali-Nev-Ha District set the goal of 5 service events a month per club. So, ideally each club should be doing 5 projects with at least 3-10 members involved in each project, (depending upon the size of your club).
