Key Club Week is the perfect week and the best week to show off how much your club contributes to the community, and to the world. It is about showing the service you do and love to do. Each day focuses on a different emphasis of service. Key Club Week is filled with joy and excitement. November 7-11, 2016 is the week of focus for Key Club International.

What is this day about? Show people what Key Club is all about! Spread the word by going all out with your division colors, wearing Key Club gear and sharing and uploading things on social media. What our club is doing: We are encouraging all members to wear some kind of Key Club attire. We are encouraging officers to go all out and wear “spirit attire”( We will go to Lillian’s house on Sunday, November 6th to make spirit attire and have fun. Show up at 552 Port Circle at 1 p.m.)  We are asking the yearbook to take pictures of us at lunchtime that day. Be in Room 7 at 1:10 p.m.  We are taking pictures all day and posting them on Instagram, and Twitter with #KeyClubWeek as well as putting them on our Facebook page.  

What is this day about? On this day Key Clubbers will personally thank all the people who have been Key Club supporters —teachers, advisors and other key players. Write thank-you notes, give them a gift, etc.

What our club is doing:       

We are doing thank you cards for the advisors and for our Kiwanis members. We are creating #KeyClubWeek clothespins with happy/thoughtful messages. We are honoring our Cloverdale H.S. staff with donuts and a sign that says, “Donut know what we’d do without you!” We are writing thank you notes to businesses that have supported us and after school delivering them to the businesses. We are honoring significant members of the club who “go the extra mile” and do more than others. We are honoring all members with a commemorative cake &ice cream party. All of this is happening at our lunchtime meeting in Room 7.

What is this day about? Key Club has three preferred charities—UNICEF, March of Dimes and Children's Miracle Network. Take time to focus on service projects that help support these causes such as making non-slip socks or capes for your local CMN hospital. What our club is doing: We will meet at lunchtime to put together final products for the donation drawing to be held at the dinner that evening, (see next bullet).  We will hold our “Diverse-A-Dish” Dinner at the Jefferson School Multi-Purpose Room, starting with set-up at 4 p.m. and clean up ending by 8:30 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from this dinner will be donated to the Kiwanis Eliminate Project, saving the lives of babies. 

What is this day about? A smile goes a long way. Spread happiness throughout your school by doing little random acts of kindness such as leaving cards with inspirational messages on every student locker or just simply holding the door for someone else. Challenge every member to complete at least one random act of kindness. What our club is doing: 

At the Kiwanis meeting that morning we want to give every Kiwanian a personal thank you card AND a small gift; plus we are honoring each with a spoken tribute.  We want to put the clothespins that we created at our meeting on Tuesday on people at school .  We will hold our Member Orientation that night from 7 – 11 p.m. in room 7 at CHS. Windsor and Healdsburg Key Clubbers are joining us! It’s going to be a lot of fun!

What is this day about? This is the day to celebrate with the whole “K family“ of Kiwanis by getting the whole group together to do something fun! Connect with local Kiwanis, Circle K International, Builders, Kiwanis Kids or Aktion clubs and team up for a joint service project or activity. What our club is doing: 

We have invited the Kiwanis Club and the Builders Club to join us for bowling.

On Friday night, November 11th, we are bowling for 1 hour for $9 (includes shoe rental) We will meet at the high school at 6:10 p.m. and be at the bowling place in Windsor by 7 p.m. Members can use Key Club Bucks to pay their way, but should bring money for snacks, if they want.
