Unfinished Business • Club dues payments- Everybody present has paid dues. Other clubs are still marked at unpaid. • Division Conclave/LTG candidate search- January 16th- this is when we elect the new LTG- the application process is still open even to members who didn’t go to the Candidate Training Conference. • Sending in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF funds- Piner and Cloverdale raised money. • Winter Service Projects- find it on Region 15 website for upcoming events- care cards, Coats for Kids, project making warm blankets for kids to keep warm, Salvation Army bell ringers, light up your community-decorating, Christmas caroling, ice skakting, ugly sweater contest and hot chocolate sales. Great ideas! • Articles for the January Region 15 newsletter- Jessie didn’t get any articles from any other clubs, except for Cloverdale-due today.
V.
New Business: • District Convention presentation- CNH Convention, different sessions where you learn about being an officer, etc. April 8-10th; Theme is Guardians of Service; February10th is the deadline for registration. Everything about DCON is on the D32 website, estimate of cost, etc. Things like “club fundraising” are the types of workshops they have. You have to sign a code of conduct. Cost is about $340 a member- Kiwanis will pay about a 3rd of that. Everybody is in charge of their own transportation. 9-9:30 on Friday- meet at the Kiwanis Family House, then Old Town Sacramento- Joe’s Crab Shack. Spend time there, then go to hotel…….etc. can put maybe about 6 kids in a room. All these details are on the Region 15 website on a PowerPoint at the bottom of the Home Page. • Key Leader- also on the website. This is a retreat where you learn about leadership skills, the location is in Occidental on April 22nd-24th. Student Facilitators get a discount. Substitute for Key Leader is easier than for DCON but it’s doable for DCON, too. $225 To attend Key Leader- Be there by 5 p.m. on Friday. Student Facilitator pays $175- and needs to be there by 1 or 2 on Friday.
