What is Project Eliminate? • Kiwanis International + UNICEF eliminating maternal & neonatal tetanus • Raising money to vaccinate, train, educate, & transport supplies & personnel • Goal: $110 million • Current progress: $104 million!!!
Wait, What is Tetanus? • Bacterial infection • Long, painful death • 50,000+ babies affected every year • 1 baby dies every 11 minutes

Eliminate Week (May 2-6) • Raise awareness and funds for the Eliminate Project • Many different possibilities on what to do • Clubs set their own goals for the week
One Dollar for Life • Toolkit provided by ODFL with all resources • Requires approval from your school and a lot of organization • Very successful once it’s carried out correctly
Guess the Number • Have a jar filled with candy at a club meeting • Charge $1 per guess of how many pieces of candy are in the jar • Winner keeps the candy and jar
Change Jar/Baby Bottle • Have an educational session during a meeting and pass around a jar and ask members to donate any spare change • Walk around with giant baby bottle, and when asked why, help educate peers and ask for donations
Carnation Sales • Set up outside of a grocery store • Sell a white and blue carnation for $2 during Eliminate Week • Make sure to educate what they signify
Bake Sales • Make baked goods according to the season/holidays • Decorated and nicely packaged goods sell for more • Sell other creative goods! ex: Mother’s Day Cards, Candy baskets for Valentine’s Day, etc.
