The Tigard Kiwanis Endowment Trust Scholarship Selection Sub-Committee voted on May 25, 2021 to award two equal scholarships of $2000 each to Sherwood High School Seniors:

Ilona Sorokina

Sankalp Sandeep Patil

This was ratified by the Tigard Kiwanis Club Board of Directors on May 26. The club, with school officials, was able to award Sankalp (Sandy) at the front porch of his home with his family present, complete with Kiwanis bell ringing and speeches.

IIona had gotten an early start in her postsecondary education out of the area, but we were able to present her award to her via Zoom.
