Presentación The collaboration between Alicante´s Photo Club and City Council, through the Department of Culture, has overcome the challenge of organizing the First International Photo Competition that has made the name of our province known worldwide. Photographers from countries as diverse as India, France, Hungary, Canada and Vietnam, among others, have been seduced by this photo-art proposal and have sent their productions to participate in the event with series of images or with unique snapshots. Alicante´s Culture Department and Photo Club Alicante along with the flashing power of social networks, have been used for amateur and professional photographers from all over the world to look at this Mediterranean city and respond to their open and fair call. Once the jury has deliberated and decided the photos that deserve the 12 awards it’s time to show the excellent work of the best professional and amateur participants in the contest. Following the requirements established on the competition´s guidelines, We are getting ready to open the exhibit that will expose to the public the 50 best images from the 1,863 who have friendly competed in this tournament of themes, techniques, focus and objectives. So it´s time to select the 50 most valuable photos that will compose digital catalog and will travel back through the main network. In addition they also will be edited into paper to be show-cased in one of the best exhibition building of Valencia´s Region: the Fish Market Hall (Lonja de Pescado). Welcome to the Lonja this artistic proposal and bon voyage to digital catalog that will expose worldwide the results of Alicante´s First International Photo Contest. On behalf of the city council, congratulations to Alicante Photo Club´s and all of those who have made this challenge possible.

1 Concurso Internacional de Fotografía “Alicante” La colaboración entre el Club Fotográfico de Alicante y el Ayuntamiento de la ciudad, a través de la Concejalía de Cultura, ha permitido superar el reto de organización del I Concurso Internacional de Fotografía que ha difundido el nombre de nuestra provincia por todo el mundo. Fotógrafos de países tan dispares como India, Francia, Hungría, Canadá o Vietnam, entre otros muchos, se han visto seducidos por esta propuesta en torno al arte y la práctica fotográfica, y han enviado sus producciones para concurrir al certamen bien con series de imágenes o con instantáneas únicas. Los sitios web de la Concejalía de Cultura y del Club Fotográfico Alicante, junto a la potencia irradiadora de las redes sociales, se han empleado para que fotógrafos aficionados y profesionales de los cuatro puntos cardinales del globo miraran hacia esta ciudad del Mediterráneo y atendieran su llamada en torno a esta convocatoria abierta y ecuánime. Una vez que el jurado ha deliberado y se ha pronunciado sobre las fotos más idóneas para merecer los 12 premios estipulados, llega el momento de exponer el excelente trabajo de los mejores profesionales o amateurs participantes en el concurso. Siguiendo lo estipulado en sus bases, entramos en la etapa de preparación de la exposición que va a mostrar al público las 50 mejores imágenes de entre las 1.863 que han competido en este amigable torneo de temas, técnicas, enfoques y objetivos. Llega el momento de que la selección con las 50 fotografías más interesantes entren a engrosar el catálogo digital que viajará de nuevo por la red de redes y, además, se plasmen en papel para integrar la muestra en uno de los mejores espacios expositivos de la Comunidad Valenciana, esta sala municipal de la Lonja del Pescado. Bienvenida a la Lonja esta propuesta artística y buen viaje al catálogo digital que difundirá de nuevo por el mundo los resultados de este I Concurso Internacional de Fotografía “Alicante”. En nombre del Ayuntamiento, felicidades a la junta directiva del Club Fotográfico y a todos los que han hecho posible este desafío.

For the Alicante Photo Club (CFA) has been a challenge to collaborate with the City Council of Alicante (Department of Culture) in organizing the First International Photo Contest “Alicante�. The CFA members are proud of the success of this first edition where the works of 473 contestants from 32 countries have been presented. Undoubtedly, all the efforts have served to publicize worldwide the photography fondness in the Spanish eastern area and particularly in Alicante. This province is not only blessed by the sea waters of its famous beaches, but also by the sun and by a magnificent combination of lights to be captured by the cameras of photographers who are lucky enough to live here or visit us. The aim of the digital edition of this catalog is to display a sample, however slight, of the many images received. Due to space constrains not all them have been included despite its excellence. Jury members were evaluating for several days and they had a hard work selecting the images that deserve awarding prizes and eventually selecting the finalists. Thank you very much for your participation and for the momentum and prestige that you have given to this contest by submitting photos, broadly with a very high quality. Para el Club Fotográfico Alicante (CFA) ha supuesto todo un reto el colaborar con el Ayuntamiento de Alicante (Concejalía de Cultura) en la organización del I Concurso Internacional de Fotografía “Alicante”. Los socios del CFA nos sentimos orgullosos del éxito alcanzado en esta primera edición donde han presentado sus obras 473 concursantes de 32 países. Sin duda, el gran esfuerzo realizado habrá servido para dar a conocer por todo el mundo la afición a la fotografía que existe en esta zona del levante español y en especial en Alicante. Esta provincia no sólo está bañada por el agua de sus famosas playas, sino también por un sol y una combinación de luces magníficas para ser captadas por las cámaras de los fotógrafos que tienen la suerte de vivir aquí o de visitarnos. Con la edición de este catálogo digital se pretende recoger una muestra, aunque sea mínima, de las muchísimas imágenes recibidas y que, por razones de espacio, no se han podido incluir a pesar de su excelencia. Los miembros del Jurado estuvieron durante varios días evaluando las imágenes y lo tuvieron muy difícil a la hora de otorgar los premios y de seleccionar las obras finalistas. Muchas gracias por vuestra participación y por el impulso y prestigio que le habéis dado a este concurso al presentar unas fotografías, por lo general, con un nivel muy alto de calidad. RULES Alicante’s Council (Department of Culture) in collaboration with Club Fotográfico Alicante (CFA) is pleased to invite you to participate in their first International Photographic Contest in Alicante. Theme: Free Number of Works: The maximum number of works is four photographs per photographer. The photographs must not have won any prizes in any otherscompetitions. The four photographs will be assessed as a whole within the collection category, and each photo graph of the collection will be also assessed individually for the individual photographs category. Awards: The total amount of money awarded in this prize is 4500 € divided into twelve categories Participation: Registration and submission must be made by following the instruction in our website clubfotograficoalicante.blogspot.com Size and presentation: All images should be in JPG format, 1920 pixels on the horizontal or 1080 pixels on if the format is vertical. The sRGB colour space is recommended. Files cannot be over 1 Mb. Participation rights: Payment of 10 Euros Paypal Calender: Submission of participants’ work: until the 15th of March 2015

BASES El Ayuntamiento de Alicante (Concejalía de Cultura) con la colaboración del Club Fotográfico Alicante (CFA), se complacen en invitarles a participar en el I Concurso Internacional de Fotografía “Alicante”. Tema: El tema será libre Número de obras: Máximo de cuatro obras por autor no premiadas en otros concursos. Además de valorar las cuatro fotografías de cada colección en su conjunto para los premios a colecciones, se valorará individualmente cada fotografía de una misma colección para los premios a fotografías individuales. Las obras de cada participante serán presentadas a los jueces consecutivamente en el orden señalado por el autor. Premios: Se concederán 4500€ repartidos en doce premios. Modo de participación: La inscripción, el pago de los derechos de admisión y el envío de las imágenes se realizarán desde nuestra web,clubfotograficoalicante.blogspot.com Tamaño y presentación: En formato JPG, 1.920 píxeles de largo si el formato es horizontal o 1080 píxeles de alto si el formato es vertical. She graduated in Fine Arts. Her artistic and professional experience is broadly linked to photography and arts. As a photography teacher, she has taught in universities, high schools and various educational institutions. She´s a cultural manager specialized in photography as well as an editor and writer for various media specialized in photography.
Doctor of Fine Arts and professor at the University of Granada. She currently teaches in Photography and Artistic premises at the Faculty of Fine Arts as well as in the Master of “Art: Production and Research”. She has directed photography courses and research projects that deal with the relationship between the sculpture and photo and has published various literary works on the subject.
A Self-taught photographer, who began working in photography in 1984. His training includes endless courses with professional photographers to acquire and develop greater technical knowledge. From the Department of Culture of Ibi where he works, he has been organizing for several years the National Photographic Competition “Vila d’Ibi”.
She regularly exhibits in galleries, museums, photo and art exhibitions nationally and internationally. She has also taught photo workshops and courses at public and private organizations. She´s currently the editor and publisher of “fotosentrelineas” where she, as an art critic, analyzes much of the photo exhibitions held in Madrid.
She`s been Commissioner of several exhibitions and collaborated in organizing events such as the Granada´s Photo Festival, Al Andaluz Photofestival, edition 2011 and 2012. She has exhibited in various national ( Pontevedra, Jaén, Granada ...) and international(Great Britain, Luxembourg, Argentina ...) theaters. She has also published in several magazines and books on art.
He has been the recipient of different prizes in several competitions nationwide, holding exhibitions and both collective and individual projections. He has also collaborated with photo magazines and published several books. He has served in many national competitions both as free and thematic Jury

Licenciada en Bellas Artes. Su actividad artística y profesional está vinculada a la fotografía y al arte en sentido amplio, como profesora de fotografía e imagen en universidades, centros de educación secundaria y otras instituciones. Gestora cultural especializada en el ámbito fotográfico, así como la de editora y redactora en diversos medios de información especializados en fotografía.
Doctora en Bellas Artes y profesora en la Universidad de Granada. Actualmente imparte docencia en Fotografía e Instalaciones Artísticas en la Facultad de BBAA, así como en el Máster “Arte: Producción e Investigación”. Ha dirigido cursos de fotografía y proyectos de investigación sobre la relación entre el campo escultórico y fotográfico, con distintas obras publicadas sobre el tema.
Fotógrafo autodidacta, se inicia en la fotografía en el año 1984. Su formación ha sido en un sin fin de cursos con fotógrafos profesionales para adquirir y desarrollar un mayor conocimiento técnico. Desde la Concejalía de Cultura de Ibi, donde trabaja, lleva organizando durante varios años el Concurso Nacional Fotográfico Vila d’Ibi.
Expone regularmente en diversas galerías, museos, ferias de fotografía y arte nacionales e internacionales. Ha impartido talleres y cursos de fotografía a distintos organismos públicos y privados. Actualmente es editora y redactora de fotosentrelineas donde comenta, como crítica de arte, gran parte de las exposiciones fotográficas que se realizan en Madrid.
Ha sido Comisaria de varias exposiciones y colaborado en la organización de eventos, como el del Festival de Fotografía de Granada, Al Andaluz Photofestival, edición 2011 y 2012. Ha expuesto en distintas salas internacionales (Gran Bretaña, Luxemburgo, Argentina…) y nacionales (Pontevedra, Jaén, Granada…). Ha publicado en varias revistas y libros sobre arte.
Ha sido premiado en varios certámenes a nivel nacional, realizando exposiciones y proyecciones tanto colectivas como individuales. También ha colaborado con revistas fotográficas y en la publicación de varios libros. Ha ejercido de Jurado en muchos certámenes nacionales tanto de nivel libre como de temática

Alicante Photographers Network
The Club Photo Alicante (CFA) is a cultural non-profit organization created in 1974. It aims to promote, disseminate and the practice of photography in all forms.
Alicante Photographers and nearby counties Network (RFA) is composed of 24 Photo Associations (AF) of the EasternSpanish coast. It was created in 2014 by an CFA´s initiative, although direction and management is exercised on a rotating basis among all AF.
The exchange of experiences, learning techniques and creation of close bonds between the club members is done primarily through the participation in a number of activities scheduled by the club: social competitions, photography classes, viewing portfolios, celebrity photographers´ work exhibitions, photo raids as well as individual and group exhibitions. In 1978 CFA organized the First National Photography Contest “Santa Barbara” which lasted 8 editions. Presently at the occasion of its 40th anniversary, the CFA takes the initiative to collaborate with the City council in organizing the First International Photo Contest “Alicante”.
Its aim is to enhance communication among all amateur photographers through its blog and facebook page, sharing information provided that may be of interest, for their members, or for public domain in general. For this reason the RFA publishes news: Inauguration of photo exhibitions, educational activities (conferences, workshops, photo lessons ...), competitions, rallies, and personal projects.

Red de Fotógrafos Alicantinos
El Club Fotográfico Alicante (CFA) es una asociación cultural sin ánimo de lucro creada en 1974. Tiene como finalidad el fomento, difusión y práctica de la fotografía en todas sus modalidades.
La Red de Fotógrafos Alicantinos y comarcas próximas (RFA) está compuesta por 24 Asociaciones Fotográficas (AF) de esta zona del Levante español. Fue creada en 2014 a instancias del CFA, si bien el liderazgo y administración se ejerce con carácter rotatorio entre todas las AF.
El intercambio de experiencias, aprendizaje de técnicas y el fomento de la unión entre socios se realiza principalmente a través de la participación en las múltiples actividades que se programan en el Club: concursos sociales, clases de fotografía, visionado de portfolios, exposición de la obra de fotógrafos famosos, salidas fotográficas al exterior y exposiciones individuales y colectivas. En 1978 organizó el I Certamen Nacional de Fotografía “Santa Bárbara” que duró 8 ediciones. Ahora, recién cumplido su 40 Aniversario, el CFA retoma esta iniciativa colaborando con el Ayuntamiento en la organización del I Concurso Internacional de Fotografía “Alicante”.
Su finalidad es, a través de su blog y facebook, potenciar la comunicación entre todos los aficionados a la fotografía, compartiendo aquella información proporcionada por una AF que pueda ser de interés, tanto para los aficionados en general, como para los socios del resto de las Agrupaciones próximas. Por este motivo en la RFA se publican noticias sobre: inauguración de exposiciones de fotografía, actividades formativas (conferencias, talleres, clases de fotografía…), concursos, rallys, salidas fotográficas y proyectos personales.
