By Pastor/Evangelist Gail

What Does the Seed that We Create See’s? What Does the Seed that We Create See’s? We are in this World but we are not of it. Isn’t this what the Word says. So why are we still playing copy-cat to the world. Why are we still trying to keep some of the world ways and to still call ourselves serving the Almighty God. During the time of the Israelites day God had warned that he would destroy them if they abandon him. God was angry at the prolonged rebellion by his people. Sin was the cause of their misery, and destruction was the result of their sin. Also it was what was the destruction of the nation. This is what shows us the results

vanity of the human glory and pride. What the Israelites experience back there then

can still apply to God’s children now. The affliction of a Babylonian conquer. Although at times they were faithful and it was great. His method of affliction is a way to bring his people back to him. One thing we know in history, God will always be faithful to his people and we must never trust in our own leadership. our own power, our own resources, or our own intelligence than the guidance and care of what the Lord God can do. Otherwise we will experience the consequences of what could be similar to what happen to Jerusalem. Only God can deliver us from sin. Not ourselves. Because of Christ’s death and his promise to return, we have a brighter hope than the world. Because of this we have a brighter tomorrow. We can refer to Jeremiah, where he mourns for the Israelites, he shed tears for their sufferings. We can as experiencing life can get tired of the same things from our children when they are rebellious. Well so can God. He can get tire too and so he did, he rejected the Israelites rebellious ways as they continued over and over with their rebellion. You can receive from the Lord God warnings. They are in the sermons we preach, the signs that we see, the economic conditions. We can see many signs, but are we heeding to them? The book of Jeremiah was preached every year to remind them of their demise of the great fall that their rebellion of the sin that they committed. We can fall victims to that same rebellion. We constantly turn to the way of the world for guidance instead of our Lord and Savior. This is seen in our lifestyles, our interactive communication, treatment and actions in the way we present ourselves to the world. The life we copy is not new to the world because this is their lifestyle. So how can we show that we are different and that we are children of God when the world see’s themselves. In Jeremiah the words were spoken “ She weepeth sore in the night and her tears are in her cheeks among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all of her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies. Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelt among the heathen, she findeth no res: all her persecutions overtook her between the straits. The term lovers refers to nations such as Egypt to whom Judah kept turning to for help. As did the Babylonians closed in on Jerusalem, the nation of Judah turned away from God and sought help and protection from other nations instead.

to continue:

This warning was loud and clear. We have a habit that won’t shake lose, especially when we continue to bring the world into God’s Kingdom. Jerusalem remembered in the days of her afflictions and her miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when her people fell into the hands of the enemy, and none did help her: the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths. Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honored her despised her, not because they have seen her nakedness: yea; she sigheth, and turneth backward. Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. Oh Lord, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself. The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into they congregation. All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for meat to relieve the soul: see, O Lord, and consider; for I am become vile. Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the Lord hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger. From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me desolate and faint all the day. If Judah played with fire, its people would get burned. Back then Jerusalem foolishly took a chance and they lost. Refusing to believe the kind of immoral living brings God’s punishment. That kind of punishment brings consequences of sin. Romans 6:23 We can choose to ignore God’s warnings. Surely as judgement came upon Jerusalem, so will it come to those who defy God. This in turn narrows down to the Seed you create and it grows up doing the same things that it see’s that you are doing and just as surely as its planted it grows and becomes a full blossom flower. One that will grow incorrupt or one that will grow in obedience to God. By obediently listening to God’s Word and applying it to your everyday lifestyle.

The Father’s Love Child By Bonnie Jones

In this article I’m going to share a series of four dreams regarding the birthing, nurturing and care of the babies born unto the body of Christ. The dreams reveal God’s plan for the most current baby as well as the devil’s plan for her death, and destruction. I felt from the beginning the Lord was speaking about women coming forth in ministry. Bob was a real advocate for women to move into their rightful place beside the men. That’s why it was important to him that I was at his side in ministry. We were a team and the Lord called us His “Custodial Parents of this Movement.” What movement we asked, - The “Love Movement!” Bob was known for his love for the body of Christ and although he is no longer with us, I must continue where he left off and where God leads me. I’ve known for many years that I was a catalyst God was using to assure women He had not forgotten them and they are vital to the end time harvest. A Baby is Born Dream #1- September 1, 2014 Earlier this year God showed me in a dream a baby that would be born at the time of Rosh Hashanah also known as the Jewish New Year. She was coming quicker than the church anticipated and in the dream Bob said,“This will be the first baby of the New Year born in the church and leadership doesn’t want to miss it!” Yet some in leadership had grown weary waiting for her birth and had fallen asleep. This baby would be powerfully anointed from the womb and upon its’ birth would preach, pray and prophesy. You can read the complete article, “Holy Spirit Overshadows the Church” in the September 2014, Word of the Month. girl was cold and shivering and if she was not nurtured, most certainly she would die.It appears to me this baby, sent by the Father as a gift to the body of Christ, is being abandoned. Apparently the child did not come wrapped in the package the body was expecting nor one they desire. The body of Christ has gone through a time of transition but I believe it did not transform from the Father’s perspective and therefor cannot embrace this Christ child. Will the baby be overlooked again? Will it be thrown out with the bath water? Why? Like the Lord, this baby has no form of comeliness (Isaiah 53:2) but she has spent her time in the presence of the Lord and understands His heart of Love for all peoples, tribes and nations. The church is still looking for a well-dressed, well-versed and polished man that has the ability to gather crowds. Therefore, nothing much has changed and leadership is still on a scavenger hunt for the anointing. What they fail to remember is that God looks at the heart not the outward appearance and resumes’. For [the Servant of God] grew up before Him like a tender plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He has no form or comeliness [royal, kingly pomp], that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him. (Isaiah 53:2 Amplified) Well God’s baby has arrived and in a package not designed by man and therefore man will once again reject her. But she is crying out for HELP! Will man turn a deaf ear once again? Or will he receive the gift of the Father in the package He chose to deliver it in? But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7) Fear not, for they rejected our Savior also. Man could not receive Christ as their King because He did not come in the package they expected or desired. This was a beautiful baby girl born of the Father’s seed, kissed by the Son of Love and anointed by the Holy Spirit of Truth. She is the Love Child born unto man and a gift from the Father. If she is not embraced and loved to life, she will quickly become undernourished and die and her death will be laid at the door of the church. I believe the mother in this dream is the church and the baby is the Love child of the Father. This child has been conceived in His Love and whether the church wants to accept it or not, she’s the revelation of the Father’s Love the church is rejecting. She represents the new wineskin and a new movement in the body of Christ. She cannot conform to the old wineskin and they can’t receive her. She has made a total commitment to the Lord and can preach, pray

Old leadership mindsets can’t accept the newness of this child and its movement. And because they are not willing to change, they are willing to ignore her presence and allow it to die rather than embrace her and the love she possesses. Old leadership grew weary and many fell asleep at the helm. Unless they do an about turn and embrace this child quickly, the church will abandon the Father’s Love. The last revelation of the Godhead is the Father and He is Love. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:8) This child has touched the heart of God and prays according to His will. She is crying out for help and asking, “Why isn’t anyone praying Babies Born on Christmas Day Dream # 3 - December 25, 2014 On the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I had a powerful dream about the birthing and care of the Father’s Love child (children). I believe these babies represent the movement in the body of Christ that won’t go away and can’t be ignored any longer. This is the womb of the anointing, the catalyst for the birthing of the season we are in called, “The Father’s Love.” In the dream, each baby was wrapped tightly in a pink swaddling blanket and a pink cap placed on their tiny head. One by one an angel would bring the newborn outside the hospital and place her in an incubator. Let me explain this incubator because it was quite unusual. Instead of being an individual unit, these incubators seemed to be like clear plastic drawers stacked one row on top of the other. Each row consisted of one large drawer where at least a dozen babies would be placed. It was the latest technology so their every movement and every breath were monitored. The monitoring equipment was done from inside a special building that the angels tended to.As soon as the baby was born, lovingly an angel placed the baby into her proper position in an incubator. The babies were all side-by-side, shoulder-to-shoulder touching one another. The angel reassured me that all the babies were just fine, they were all being well monitored and nothing they needed would be overlooked. The church has long rejected women but God hasn’t. He’s kept a watchful eye on them and those who have rendered themselves unto Him are now being placed in that heavenly incubator. There are angels on assignment for each one of them and monitoring their every move. They will not jockey for position because they know their rightful position in Christ. They have learned how to work together in unity, side-byside, shoulder-to-shoulder and mankind will no longer intimidate them. When they hear the voice of the Father they obey Him. There is nothing that can come against them to separate them from the love of the Father. They have long endured rejection but now the Father is sending them forth to gather the lost sheep, heal the sick and Voices Of The Wind

It seems to me that since the church rejected women in ministry God has removed them from its auspices and placed them under His wing. He’s anointing them to do His Word and His Will. They will work together for the good of the body of Christ without fear and intimidation of mankind. They no longer fear man; they only know the reverential fear and awe of God. Let me clarify myself. I do not mean that women should not be in the church or that God is removing them from the church. Most definitely women have a place in the church as well as in leadership. God anoints all His followers and calls them to follow Him. In the same way the disciples followed Christ, He also released them into their own ministries. They were each called to the “great commission.” If they had only followed, they would have never become leaders in the first century church. The church in general is male dominated but I can’t believe God intended it to be that way. The Apostle Paul traveled with and was mentored by Priscilla and Aquila, a married couple in the first century church. In fact Priscilla’s name is mentioned first in scripture before Aquila’s. I believe this is the model God is looking for but misunderstanding of scripture caused it to get swept under the carpet years ago. No one has been willing to dust it off and allow women to become fruitful and multiply in their calling. There’s been a lot of talk about women coming forth in ministry yet they remain stagnant. This is about to change and the body of Christ will be far richer and have greater balanced. The good news is the Father has redeemed that which the church rejected. Fear not, they rejected the prophets too. I believe there has been a birthing in the church and you are going to see women rise up to take their rightful place in the body of Christ and some of them in leadership positions. The Holy Spirit has been brooding over these babies for a long time and nourished them with the Father’s Love. The Father wiped away their tears of rejection and filled their hearts with His Love and compassion. He taught them in the secret place of the Most High where agendas, pride and jealousy were not permitted. In this place of intimacy with Him they learned how to love one another and placed their faith and hope in Him not man. God showered them with His Love and sprinkled them with affection. In this place they learned patient endurance. They learned how to live 1 Corinthians 13 because God worked His Love into their heart. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8) Women feared man instead of God and I believe this displeased Him. Yet in His mercy and grace, I believe He hardened man’s heart to a degree, against women to turn the heart of women toward Him. In the natural it appeared that man was at the helm when, in fact it was God so He could do a complete work in the women. The Holy Spirit continued to brood and the Father taught them how to work together in Love for the betterment of the body. Voices of the Wind

I believe that when women come into their rightful position in the body of Christ, God will deal with the heart of man to embrace them. And once again man will love his helper like Adam loved Eve. However, this time he will protect her from the enemy. Man alone cannot produce children. It requires a woman. When men and women come together in ministry anointed by the Holy Spirit they form a threefold cord that is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:12) Then the body of Christ will be strengthened and the enemy’s back will be weakened. Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. (Genesis 2:24) Beware the Religious Spirit Dream #4 - December 30, 2014 Unless we keep a watchful eye upon our babies the religious spirit will devour them. Today I saw our beautiful baby again. After a time of rest she began to play in the garden where the cornucopia fruits and vegetables were ripe for harvest. She tumbled over and into the rich wet soil. I picked her up and sprayed her off with the green garden hose. Bob and I walked down the sidewalk carrying the baby. A woman with a large, fat, well-trained alligator walking beside her headed toward us. The woman gave a command to the alligator to attack and kill the baby. It was our job to protect her at all cost. I believe the alligator represents a religious spirit that has grown fat over years of devouring babies alive. Bob taught that a religious spirit is five things; legalism, opinion, debate, judgment and criticism. The church as a whole has never broken free of this spirit and unless it does we will once again lose our baby to it and abort God’s movement. Can we afford to do this? Can we look the other way and ignore it? As a body of believers we must embrace this baby and help nurture it until it's fully developed. I believe this time the church will recognize “God’s Love Child” and leadership will stand beside her and be encouraging. It’s going to take both mothers and fathers in leadership to embrace this baby and allow her to develop and bring forth the fruitfulness God commissioned her with. We can love this baby to life and maturity or abort it as in the past. The last revelation of the Trinity is that of the Father and He is Love. Jesus was revealed over two thousand years ago and the Holy Spirit over one hundred years ago. They rejected Jesus and quenched the Holy Spirit time and time again. Will the church reject what God is doing through the weaker vessel? I believe the Father created woman to stand beside man and together represent Him as “Ministers of His Love.” Now is the time to demonstrate the full measure of Christ’ divine nature and walk in Love because God is LOVE! Let us, as the body of Christ embrace the Father’s Love Child and allow the Holy Spirit to flow freely, without quenching its power and purpose. Let us be lovers of “LOVE” and embrace what God is doing. Let’s not despise the package He chooses to Voices of the Wind

In

today’s world it seems like a lot is going on. But this is just one of those times we reminisces about The Way We Were. You know way back when. Things just seem to be better than we think it is today. The reality is that it is not. Remember when the Lord God spoke about as time goes on the world would get wickeder and wickeder. Well that is what you are seeing in today’s time frame. Oh Yeah! it did seem as though those days of long ago was much better. They had their to do’s to. What it is that we have to remember is that life is what you make it. You can be in this world but not of it. Isn’t that what the Word says. As long as you keep looking back at Egypt you will yearn for the wrong things. Hold your head up high and look within and make your today’s a better tomorrow. That is Create the things that you know are everlasting and not something that will cure a temporary affect. There are better days ahead, but you would have to know how to seek them. When you run across someone who has no hope for tomorrow think about what took place when that particular person or event lead you to the Lord God. Reminisce on those things and make some one’s life a little better. This will keep your spirit in tuned with what better days that lies ahead, for you and that some one and then it will be the Way You Are instead of the Way You Were

I AM FIRST PUTTING A WORD THE LORD SPOKE TODAY, FOLLOWED BY A TRANCE VISION EXPERIENCED BY MY SISTER Judah Alexander. WHAT SHE EXPERIENCED AND THE UNDERSTANDING THE LORD GAVE STILL BLOWS ME AWAY! IT IS TIME heart emoticon RETURN TO LOVE....Word of the Lord 3/10/15 I am waiting in the quiet place of love and surrender. Waiting on you to return to the place that you came from. We are one my beautiful, precious dove. Come home from your fears and struggles and rest in me. The world strives and shakes but I am your refuge. I am the place prepared for you. Surrender every care to me for I certainly care for you. Lay it all down and take my yoke upon you. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden is light. I want to laugh with you, leap freely with no cares. Just as the joy of a child bubbles, I long to see you as my carefree, joyful child. Know you not of my love for you. I created you to love, to live and move and have my being in. You are not separate from me but you are one with me. Return to our home of love and peace and joy. You've tried to find it on your own, apart from me. My love is so encompassing and pure that I am always with you. Its only in your thoughts that you separate yourself from me. Wherever you are, I am. Return and live and move and have your being in me and together, as one we shall live the abundance that I am. Isaiah 30:15 (AMP) 15 For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. What Is a Seder?

A Passover seder is a service held at home as part of the Passover celebration. It is always observed on the first night of Passover, and in some homes on the second night as well. On both nights, the seder concludes with a dinner. Participants use a book called the Haggadah to lead the service. "Hagaddah" means "the telling," in Hebrew, and it contains instructions for the seder, blessings and the and the Passover story. The word "seder" literally means "order" in Hebrew. The name comes from the fact that there are 15 parts of the ritual service, all revolving around the upcoming Passover dinner. Food is an important symbolic Voices of the Wind

element of Passover. If you would like to learn more about the symbolic meaning of the foods on the seder plate, you might like this article: The Meaning of Items on the Seder Plate

Parts of the Passover Seder Below is a brief description of each of the fifteen parts of the Passover seder. These steps are observed to the letter in some homes, while other homes may choose to observe only some of them and focus instead on the Passover meal. 1. Kadesh (Santification) - During this part of the seder, each participant's cup is filled with wine or grape juice. The Kiddush is recited aloud, then everyone takes a drink from their cup. 2. Urchatz (Handwashing) - Water is poured over the hands to symbolize ritual purification. Traditionally apitcher is used to pour water over the ritual, but no blessing is said.3. Karpas (Green Vegetable) - A vegetable such as lettuce, cucumber, radish or parsley is now dipped in salt water and eaten. It is sometimes said that the salt water represents the tears our ancestors shed during their years of enslavement.4. Yachatz (Breaking the Matzah) - There is always a plate of three matzot (plural of matzah) on the table during a seder. (These matzot are part of the ritual meal - there are other matzot elsewhere to feed the seder guests.) At this point the seder leader takes a piece from the middle of the plate and breaks it in half. The smaller piece is put back between the remaining two matzot. The larger half becomes the "afikomen," which is hidden somewhere for the children to find later on. Alternatively, some homes place the afikomen near the seder leader and the children must try to "steal" it without the leader noticing. Continue On Page 22

Passover is a holiday full of ritual symbols that retell the Exodus story. Many of these symbols are displayed on the seder plate, which is the centerpiece of the seder table. A seder is a service held at home that concludes with a dinner. It is always observed on the first night of Passover, and in some homes on the second night as well.

5. Maggid (Telling the Passover Story) - During this part of the seder participants retell the Exodus story. The youngest person (usually a child) at the table begins by asking the Four Questions. Each question is a variation of: "Why is this night dierent from all other nights?" Participants will often answer these questions by taking turns reading from the Haggadah. Next the four types of children are described: the wise child, the wicked child, the simple child and the child who doesn't know how to ask a question. Thinking about each kind of person is an opportunity for self reflection and discussion. This part of the seder concludes when the second cup of wine is poured. As each of the ten plagues that struck Egypt is read aloud, participants dip a finger into their wine and put a drop of liquid onto their plates. At this point the various symbols on the seder plate are discussed, then everyone can drink their wine!6. Rachtzah (Handwashing) Participants wash their hands again, this time saying the appropriate blessing (Netilat Yadayim). After saying the blessing, it is customary not to speak until the blessing for the matzah.7. Motzi (Blessing for the Matzah) - Now the motzi (blessing for bread) is said over the matzah. It goes: "Baruch atah Adonai, Elohaynu, melech ha-olam ha-motzi lechem min ha-aretz." In English: "Praised are You Adonai our God, Ruler of the Universe, who brings forth bread from the earth." Next the blessing mentioning the mitzvah (commandment) to eat matzah is said.8. Matzah - Everyone eats their matzah.9. Maror (Bitter Herbs) - Because the Israelites were slaves in Egypt we eat bitter herbs to remind us of the harshness of servitude. Horseradish (either the root or a prepared paste) is most often used. Put a dollop of maror on a piece of matzah and eat it.10. Korech (Hillel Sandwich) - Next participants make a "Hillel Sandwich" by putting maror andcharoset between Voices of the Wind

Definition:The Afikomen is a piece of matzah that is traditionally hidden during the Passover seder.

Breaking the Matzah and Hiding the Afikomen There are three pieces of matzah used during a Passover seder. During the fourth part of the Seder (called Yachatz) the leader will break the middle of these three pieces in two. The smaller piece is returned to the Seder table and the larger piece is set in a napkin or bag. This larger piece is called the "afikomen," a word that comes from the Greek word for "dessert." It is so called not because it is sweet, but because it is the last 11. Shulchan Orech (Dinner) - Now it is time for the meal to begin! Passover seder staples include hard-boiled eggs, matzah ball soup, brisket and even matzah lasagna. Dessert often includes ice cream, cheesecake, or flourless cakes, often made with chocolate.12. Tzafan (Eating the Afikomen) - After dessert participants eat the afikomen. Remember that the afikomen was either hidden or stolen at the beginning of the seder, so it has to be returned to the seder leader at this point. In some homes the children actually ransom the afikomen back to the adults.13. Barech (Blessing) - A third cup of wine is poured for everyone, the blessing is recited and then participants drink their glass. Now an additional cup of wine is poured for Elijah and a door is opened so that the prophet can enter the home.14. Hallel (Songs of Praise) - The door is closed and everyone sings songs of praise to God before drinking the fourth and final cup of wine.15. Nirtzah (Conclusion) - The seder is now oďŹƒcially over but most homes say one final blessing: "L'shanah haba'a bi Yerushalayim!" This means, "Next year in Jerusalem!" and expresses the hope that next year Passover will be celebrated in Israel.

PET TALK with PHil Tralls and Best Friend Rusty

Phil Tralls and Best Friend Rusty

Learning CPR and First Aid could save your pet's life. Here are the things EVERY pet owner ought to know:

enter text First-Aid and CPR forType yourtoAnimal Emergencies can occur suddenly and without warning. Has an outdoor cookout ever been so inviting that your pooch couldn’t resist reaching up for a sizzling treat? Has your cat’s tail ever been accidentally closed in a door? Have you found a dog left in a car and suffering from heat stroke? Have you ever feared your cat would get bitten by a bee and suffer an allergic reaction? If you’ve answered “yes” to any of these questions, you’ll realize that being prepared applies not just to the Boy Scouts, but to you as well. Statistics show that preventable accidents are the leading cause of death among companion animals. According to the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), one out of four additional animals could be saved if just one pet first aid technique was applied. In an emergency, First-Aid is the initial and often most critical step. Knowing what to do in those first few moments can save your animal’s life. The most accomplished veterinary surgeon will not be able to bring your dog or cat back once his heart and lungs have stopped, but by knowing the life-saving skills of First-Aid and CPR, you can keep your animal’s organs working until professional medical help is available. Many of us have taken human First-Aid or CPR courses. However, dogs and cats don’t share the same anatomy as us. Although the concept is the same, the techniques differ. In addition, we can’t ask our dog or cat, “Where does it hurt?” or “Did you just eat something out of the trash?” Pet-specific training is therefore essential. Voices Of he Wind

Anyone you entrust the care of your dog or cat to should also know these important lifesaving skills. It’s a great responsibility to look after someone’s four-legged friend, and a good pet sitter, groomer or caregiver should be ready for the unexpected. “I was caring for two precious Cairn terriers and had just given them a doggie treat when one of them suddenly started choking,” said Tina Kenny of TLC Pet Sitting. “As I watched her desperately trying to cough up the biscuit lodged in her throat, I realized she needed my help. I am so grateful I had taken a Pet First-Aid class just the day before. I quickly took the appropriate action (side chest thrusts) and the biscuit shot out of her mouth and across the kitchen floor. There was nothing quite as rewarding as knowing I had saved the day for this helpless little dog, and her wagging tail and thankful licks let me know she felt the same way.”

Cat mom Heidi Fielding adds that one of the biggest benefits of taking a Pet First-Aid class is that it gave her “confidence in dealing with an emergency situation.” Knowing what to do is no good if you don’t have the confidence to react and use that knowledge. CPR for Animals As in humans, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency technique used when an animal has stopped breathing or has no heartbeat. It involves learning how to do rescue breathing (mouth-to-snout resuscitation) and chest compressions, by following three basic principles or ABCs of CPR – Airway, Breathing and Circulation. In addition to these techniques, a Pet First-Aid class should include care for heat stroke, choking, poisoning, gastrointestinal upsets, burns, seizures and wounds as well as emergency prevention. To complete the training, you should purchase or put together your own Pet First-Aid kit.

Getting Through Grief By Diane Weinmann Grief has many meanings. According to Wikipedia, it’s “a multifaceted response to loss, particularly the loss of someone or something to which a bond was formed. Although we usually focus on the emotional response to loss, grief also has physical, cognitive, behavioral, social, spiritual, and philosophical dimensions.” Grief is what you naturally feel when your animal companions transition into spirit. You are sad. You are sick to your stomach. You cannot get out of bed. Your life has no meaning without the soul you lost. You cannot eat or sleep; or maybe you’re experiencing the exact opposite and are over-sleeping to escape or eating to comfort yourself. Getting through grief is as multi-faceted as the grief itself. It involves not only accepting and working through your feelings, but also taking some cognitive and physical action steps to help yourself heal. Continue next Page

8 steps to healing 1. However you experience your loss, know you have a right to feel as you do. No one should tell you to “get over it” or that “it was only a pet”. Your beloved dog or cat was a member of your family, and whether that family is large or small, your animal was a big part of it, and of your life. Without your companion, life as you know it has changed dramatically, and grief is a natural result. 2. Accept that grief hurts, and that the time it takes to heal varies from person to person. Know that it eventually gets better – not because you love your dog or cat any less, but simply because life goes on. You may have a job, and kids or a significant other to take care of. There is shopping, cooking and cleaning to do, school projects to complete, and the lawn to mow. All these external factors help to push the pain away. It may feel temporary at first, but the time between your meltdowns will become longer over time. 3. Don’t feel guilty when you start to feel better, and when you are able to smile instead of cry when you remember your companion. It’s the best honor you can bestow upon your beloved animal friend. 4. Many people, myself included, believe that every time you think of your dog or cat, he knows it, and that he can feel your heart remember. Our beloved companions are not “gone”; we simply cannot see or touch them. They are in spirit, but they still exist. So go ahead – send him love, laugh out loud as you remember his antics, or cry when you think of a tender moment. I am an animal communicator and have spoken to many animals that have passed away. The most common thing they tell me is how much they love their families, how much their people did for them and how cherished they felt. That is a wonderful legacy. Your dog or cat still feels your love, and remembers all the good in his life.

5. I also believe through my communications that animals do not dwell on how they passed away. It’s of no consequence to them other than to place a physical distance between you. Your dog or cat visits you often, even if you may not be aware of it. You may catch a glimpse of him out of the corner of your eye. You might feel him touch you softly, or jump on your lap or bed. If you experience these things, you are not losing your mind. It’s simply your companion coming to visit. He misses you too. This was not a one-sided love affair. In fact, he has the best side of the deal, because he can still see you! 6. To further cope with your feelings, you might consider a grief counselor or bereavement group. Some of the latter are geared towards pet loss. If you cannot find one specifically for pet loss then join one that resonates with you. Loss is loss, in my book. Love is love. It doesn’t matter if it’s a person, dog, cat, or any other creature. 7. Sometimes action is the best way to help kick start the heart healing. a) Celebrate your dog or cat’s life. Throw a party and talk about all the things he meant to you. Invite others who also cared about him. b) Donate time, supplies or money in your companion’s honor to the charity/ shelter/rescue of your choice. c) Some people like to set up a special spot in their homes where they can keep reminders of their animals. You might place his favorite toys, collar, dish or other significant items along with some photos on a table or desk. While these reminders might be too painful for many people at first, it’s something you might consider after the first acute stages of grief have passed. Eventually, as you walk by your memorial every day, you will begin to heal and the pain will fade. In place of the pain will be the beloved memories you’ll always cherish of your animal. 8. Many people feel an urge to rush out and adopt another animal to fill the void left by the old one. While this may work for some, it’s usually better to wait until your grief has eased a bit before bringing another companion into your life. Whatever you decide to do, don’t feel guilty about it. You’re not “replacing” or betraying your old companion! Every dog and cat is unique, and you’ll never forget the love and companionship you shared with your friend. He’ll never forget you, either. Honor him by celebrating what you had together. Who knows, he may even come back to you someday…but that’s a topic for another time! End

I tell you I enjoy the Jazzy sounds she loves to play like Boney James or a little touch of Bob James and David Sandborn which she loves to play while we are all intimate with our art work. You better watch out though she’ll throw in some of her personal Classic Sounds of Chopan, or some Mozart just to name a few. She creates an atmosphere that you just don’t want to leave. I like how she allows you to paint what you feel and don’t mind jumping in to rescue you in critiquing a thing or two or by helping you get back on track when you feel you might have fallen off the course. 10 year old Nigerian in UK varsity By Amaka Abayomi, with agency reports Ten year old Esther Okade, one of UK’s youngest students from Nigeria, has been accepted to start her maths degree at the Open University. Esther’s mother, Efe, said the process of applying to the university was ‘an interesting one because of her age. she said “We even had to talk to the VC and after they interviewed her, they realized that this has been her idea from the beginning. From the age of seven Esther has wanted to go to university.

“But I was afraid it was too soon. She would say, ‘mum, when am I starting?’, and go on and on and on. Finally, after three years, she told me, ‘mum I think it is about time I started university now.” Esther applied in August, and after a phone interview, an essay and a maths exam, she finally got the news in December that she had been accepted onto the course. Though she watches cartoons and plays with barbie dolls, Esther’s aim is to get First Class honors degree in two years and start a PhD program. She also intends to run her own bank. You let one past failure cripple you indefinitely.

Failure happens. Success is cyclical. Every year is not “your year” and every idea is not brilliant. We all fail, or have seasons that we weren’t at our best. I can recall feeling like a loser during a season of unemployment in my early twenties. I was trying to make my way as a writer, but was watching the bills pile up – and I had no idea how to pay them. I didn’t know what else to do, so I wrote and wrote and wrote. I fought off the loserly feelings and channeled them into my work. Eventually this resulted in a writing fellowship that changed the trajectory. But I had to ride it out. And even after that there were other rough patches. But I didn’t let the rough patches define me for too long. I held on to my greater sense of purpose around my writing and my work. Even now I consider myself a success, but everything I do isn’t a home run. But I do enough that it all averages out to equal a life and career that I am proud of. And I try not to linger too long when a business partnership doesn’t work out or an idea falls flat. I don’t let the failure define me.

You’re not steering your own ship.

I talk to a lot of people about their goals, dreams, and deepest aspirations. One thing I am often surprised at is how much many of us let other people dictate what we do with our own lives. I talk to people who are well into their 30s and 40s and are still hoping to make their parents proud. They follow a path that is not their own, and listen to advice that is not suited for their unique personalities. They choose to exploit their talents for economic gain, instead of exploring their passions. And ultimately, they’re unfulfilled.

You’re waiting on everything to be perfect. Continue.....

For people who have grown accustomed to a certain number in the bank account, a certain standard of living, and a need to fulfill a list of obligations that – truthfully – are not requirements for life on this planet, the conditions never seem perfect to do something else.

And here’s another spoiler alert: You may never have enough money put away. You may never have the 3 year plan in place. You may never find the right sense of work-life balance once you follow your dream. You may never feel like you have enough time to spend with your kids. Things may never be perfect. But if we get real for a moment, how perfect are things now? If you find yourself regularly longing to do something else, things aren’t really perfect in this moment, either. Might as well follow your bliss. You refuse to own your unique contribution.

Does this one sound like you? You REFUSE to own that you have a contribution to make to the world. People tell you all the time that you’re amazing, talented, should turn that into a business, should be speaking on stages – and you hush them into awkward silence. Instead, you choose to focus their attention on the other people who are doing it way better, or have been doing it for far longer, than you. You look at what already was or what already is, instead of what could be. You believe there is a finite amount of attention, success, limelight in the world. And because there are others who do a version of what you would maybe do, you tell yourself that no one needs what you do. But what if Lorraine Hansberry refused to write plays because Gwendolyn Brooks was penning poems and Zora Neale Hurston was killing it with her fiction? What if Toni Morrison and Maya Angelou decided to never pick up a pen because their literary godmothers had already done it so well? They all belong to the same canon of African-American literature. Yet, somehow there was room for all of their voices and the world is still hungry for more. Voices Of The Wind

This is what happens to your body if you drink warm honey-lemon water in the morning by Photos, Hodgepodge, and Miscellany This is what happens to your body if you drink warm honey-lemon water in the morningAdding lemon to water not only quenches thirst better than any other beverage, but it also nourishes our body with vitamins, minerals and trace elements which we absolutely need. Lemon with water can be considered the best natural energy booster. When we wake up in the morning, our bodily tissues are dehydrated and are in need of water to push out toxins and rejuvenate the cells. In other words, this homemade “lemonade” helps eliminate internal toxins, regulating proper kidney and digestive tract functions by forcing them to work as smoothly as possible..

Warm water with lemon helps regulate natural bowel movement. Water with lemon is indispensable for the normal work of metabolism. Since lemon is a powerful antioxidant, it protects the body from free radicals and strengthens the immune system. Water with lemon aids in proper functioning of the nervous system (as l lemon has a high content of potassium). Depression and anxiety are often the result of low levels of potassium in the blood. The nervous system needs a suďŹƒcient amount of potassium to ensure sustainable signals to the heart. Water with lemon cleanses blood, blood vessels and arteries. Water with lemon can help lower blood pressure. A daily intake of one lemon can reduce high blood pressure by 10%. Water with lemon creates an alkalizing eect in the body. Even if you drink it immediately before a meal, it can help your body maintain a higher level of pH. The higher the pH, the more your body is able to fight diseases. Water with lemon is good for the skin. Vitamin C in lemon, improves our skin by rejuvenating the body. Drinking water with lemon regularly (every morning) will improve the condition of your skin.

Water with lemon helps to dilute uric acid, the built up of which leads to pain in the joints and gout. Water with lemon is beneficial for pregnant women. Since lemons are loaded with Vitamin C, it acts as an adaptogen helping the body cope with viruses such as colds. Furthermore, vitamin C helps the formation of bone tissue of the unborn baby. At the same time, due to the high content of potassium, a mixture of water with lemon helps forming cells of the brain and nervous system of the baby. Water with lemon relieves heartburn. Water with lemon helps with tooth pain and gingivitis. 3. Water with lemon prevents cancer. This is due to the fact that lemons are a highly alkaline food. Multiple studies have found that cancer cannot thrive in an alkaline environment. How and when to drink water with lemon: For this purpose, use warm purified or spring water.
