ASCA Steel Competition: students were challenged to display innovative ways to build with steel and to imagine the role architecture can and should play in evolving Civic conditions, and to propose unique, appropriate and dynamic architectural solutions. Interior

Starting with a generated supershape, an iteritve process between algorithmic formulas and heuristic adjustments are made.

Examining the object from the inside reveals even more complexity than what is portrayed from the exterior.

After a definitive algorithmic process, and multiple personal touches, the final artifact honestly reminds me of the two towers designed for the Lord of the Rings lol.

Planar interior views reveal the almost sacred geometry-like typology produced by the column’s vertical contour lines.

Work Force Education Center Technical Development Center Muncie, Indiana has a proud history as a leading manufacturing center within the midwest. Overtime, economic and industrial decline has taken a grave toll on the community.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Statistics, in 2020 Muncie’s unemployment rate for its civilian labor force soared to a 16% increase, many workers displaced from highpaying manufacturing jobs.

Industrial Emergence aspires to catalyze a shift towards a more innovative and sustainable future, engaging emerging technologies with the conviction of Muncie’s proud industrial past.

These progressive programmatic elements are incorporated into a distinct and expressive architecture, creating an iconic landmark and assertively announcing the arrival of a new path forward.
