EDITOR’S NOTE Hi kiwis, It’s been a wild time making these newsletters. Thank you for reading and enjoy the highlights from Dec-Feb. You made it through the term! :,) Please send song recs, Jaylynn Cao District Bulletin Editor

GOVERNOR’S GREETING Hello KIWIN’S, The end of the term is approaching in less than two months. How do you feel? Excited? Sad? Content? Good, oh so good? Whatever you are feeling, nothing can change the fact that we have accomplished incredible things considering the pandemic. We were still able to host virtual district events such as Fall Rally and Candidates’ Training Conference, both gatherings garnering sizable attendance. Awake-A-Thon, District Convention, and a new district service project are just around the corner. We were also able to add resources and events like KIWIN’S Awareness Month, the Alumni Network Program, the Member Recognition Program, and more. I will be honest and say I did not know how the term was going to pan out virtually. All I knew was that if any group of people could flourish while distanced, it was KIWIN’S. Our district currently has the highest percentage of paid clubs as well as the highest percentage of paid membership if you compare our numbers to last term’s and this is in relation to every district in Key Club International. I guess we’re just built different. This would not be possible without every single member, officer, and advisor in the community and on behalf of the district board, we thank you. Stay safe and hydrated, Angela Batoon District Governor

TRUSTEE’S NOTE Hey CNH KIWIN’S, Hope everyone’s doing well, and finishing up the school year strong! I know these months can be very busy, but they can also be so exciting! Special shoutout to all the seniors as they get ready to graduate and move on to the next chapter of their lives! These last months the International Board has been up to lots of work! February 1, we launched a new campaign with the Thirst Project, called Hydrate for 28! This campaign was one that promoted hydration among Key Clubbers, as well as worked towards ending the global water crisis. Another project recently released by Key Club International was the Global Leadership Certificate pilot program. This is a program that uses a variety of videos, assessments, resources, and activities to train and educate members on different topics. The pilot course includes activities revolving around civic engagement, strategic vs. tactical leadership, and effective communication! The best part of it all, YOU can be one of the first Key Clubbers to test it out. Make sure to apply using this link: https://kiwanis. formstack.com/forms/key_club_global_leadership_form Key Club International realizes that club meetings look a little different this year, and we want to help make that change as easy as possible. Whether your club is meeting virtually or in person, Key Club International has created ten different meeting kits for you to use! These “kits” include service projects, conversation starters, agendas, and so much more! Be sure to check them out using this link: https://www.keyclub. org/key-club-virtual-meeting-kits/ Lastly, I’d love to see all of you in Orlando, Florida on July 7th-11th! So make sure to be on the lookout for information regarding ICON 2020. Everyone’s invited to attend, and you won’t want to miss it! Thanks KIWIN’S for all you do. Congratulations to those of you retiring in the next months, I couldn’t be more proud of the work you’ve accomplished this year. In service & friendship, Emma Brainard International Trustee
