ALESSA FISHER RAGAZZA MODA E SPETTACCOLO 2015 INTERNATIONAL 1ST PLACE WINNER
welcome EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S
Greetings from WEModel USA. I want to thank everyone - especially “The DMV and Greensboro, NC Communities” for your support to WEModel USA on this grass-root initiative, for support provided to the contestants, and for the support provided to the unique campaign which brings awareness to human/sex trafficking. The community, once again, has truly come together to support the WEModel USA campaign. WEModel USA is committed to its name: “WE” stands for women empowerment. WEModel’s mandate is to discover, inspire, empower, and uplift all women to achieve their next level of success. In 2018, WEModel USA started a campaign to bring increased awareness to the troubling and prevalent issue of Human/ Sex trafficking in our society. The WEModel USA initiative will highlight and promote insight on preventing and protecting victims through education and information. We will highlight signs and indicators of human/sex trafficking and encourage people to report suspicious activity & unlawful acts. Contestants will use their social media platforms to connect, network and spread awareness. Human/sex trafficking affects victims both domestically and internationally, mainly targeting females and children who are enslaved in the commercial sex industry for little or no money. This is a $32 billion annual industry that must be stopped and, according to the United Nations, roughly 2.5 million people around the world are forced into this web of human trafficking at wany given time. Below is a snapshot of what WEModel USA provides to its models: WEModel USA has experience in giving US models a one-of-a-kind experience abroad, securing first, second and third place victories in Italy in the past. To date, we have promoted 45 models on an international level, with one receiving a full-time paid modeling contract in Milan, Italy. Another of our models is currently signing a contract to be the face of Dubai with a global agency based in New York. Additionally, one of our models has been selected for a casting call in Paris, France. We have also had our models showcased at paid events through the DC, Maryland and Virginia areas.
