Cobham Hall Boarding News: Summer 2021 By Natascha Küsel and Luka Anna Kniriem, Gap Assistants
Another term at Cobham Hall means more joyful moments for us in Boarding ! With a warm welcome into our summer newsletter we invite you to read through our activities and what the Boarders thought about them! It is the last term of this academic school year which means our lovely Year 13‘s graduated school and are out and about exploring their new life. We wish them all the best and are very proud. In addition, our Year 11s also had to make some decisions! To our fantastic Year 11s who are leaving: you will be missed just as much! We believe in finding what’s best for you and we‘ll carry the memories of you forever with us! As Covid has finally eased a little we were able to take our Boarders out again - with trips to Bluewater and Thrope Park. We‘ve also kept them safe and sound with activities in the grounds of the School and entertained them as well as possible with our own creativity! For a better insight of how we‘ve spend our term, keep on swiping !
Capture the Flag
On Games Night, we played Capture the Flag outside and it was really fun! We had to run, search and be strategic with our team. In the end, I was exhausted. Camille—Year 9
Water Fight The weather was hot, so we decided to have a water fight. The water fight was a great way for us to all cool down and socialize.
The housemistresses helped us prepare for this event. It was fun and we all had a nice time. Both the younger and the older years joined in. Abadere—Year 10
Nandos Takeaway It was very tasty for a good price and we are lucky that they deliver to us. I will definitely do it again! Kesi—Year 10
Euro 2020 It was really fun to watch a football game with the German Housemistress. The entire game had us on edge and when Germany won, there was non-stop celebrations! Nabeelah—Year 9
Bluewater Me and the other Boarders went to Bluewater on Wednesday and we went in groups. In my group were Kachira, Lindi and Nabeelah. It was so much fun. I really enjoyed shopping with my friends!

Summer Festival At the Summer Festival we played bench ball, dodge ball and a game with a balloon. Due to the weather we were not able to be outside, but the amazing Housemistresses made do with what they could and kept it going!
The Summer Festival was really nice considering that the weather wasn‘t on our side. We had the festival inside and it was a really nice experience. Lindi—Year 8
Boarding Awards Boarding awards was so fun! I was so happy as I got Boarder of the Year with Anjola. We all had so much fun dancing and eating. Jasmine—Year 10
Boarding awards was really fun. We ate food and everyone got an award. My friends did a halftime show and then we gave awards to the Housemistresses. We danced and listened to music and played musical chairs. Anjola—Year 10
Thorpe Park
Thorpe Park was so fun, it was full of thrilling
It was a Sunday trip to
and exhilarating rides. I got to conquer my fear of heights while being with my friends. I got wet from water rides and was screaming during rides that made my insides turn. I also had some amazing chips if I do say so myself. Some of the lines were long, but the rides were worth it in the end. At the end of the day, smiles were on everyone’s faces or tired expressions of having the best day ever. In my opinion, it was a trip that was worth the wait.
Thorpe park and it was very fun! My friends and I went on about 7 rides and we had so much fun. I got a huge slushie because it was very hot. We also got wet on the water rides. My favourite ride was the Saw one. Tobi—Year 9
