How to find us...
As a School with just under 30 nationalities represented, Cobham Hall welcome students from around the world to join our community. For those only wanting to stay for one or two terms, or for a full academic year, we offer a range of highly flexible courses. These programmes can be tailored to meet the needs of each student. As full Boarders, students will be integrated into school life and where possible, they may join mainstream lessons. Each student will be assigned to a Tutor Group, and will have a ‘Buddy’ to help them settle in. They will be able to participate in the co-curricular activities and clubs available to all our students. They will be offered an induction programme when they arrive, and will receive pastoral support at every level. This will help them with the cultural and social aspects of successfully integrating into the School.
“My daughter’s English improved rapidly. She integrated into class in light speed. Teachers showed interest in her and how she did. And my daughter in turn became more and more committed to school, did diligently what she was supposed to do and – most of all – started to enjoy learning.” - Parent of a Short Stay Student
We’re ideally located; a rural setting but with excellent road, rail and air links. Short Stay Students Joining Year 11
Intensive English Summer Programme
Ideal for those aged 11 to 15 or aged 17, short stay students join their relevant Year Group to experience an English Boarding School education.
The Pre-A Level Programme can be a stand-alone course for one or two terms, or as a full year, offering a foundation for entry into our Sixth Form. However, this would be dependent upon subject experience, level of English, and standard achieved.
In June, we offer an exciting and unique immersive learning experience, which gives students the chance to experience life at a British Boarding school, while improving their English and meeting new people.
For international students whose first language is not English, English as a Foreign Language (EFL) lessons will form the basis of their timetable. Dependent on their ability, this may be up to ten hours per week. Their progamme of study will be completed with mainstream lessons in other subjects with their Year Group. Students may be offered the opportunity to take Cambridge English Examinations (PET).
“Settling in was the easiest part of my stay. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, and within a week I felt completely at home. Throughout my stay, I never felt like I didn’t belong. I was always treated like a regular student, not someone who was visiting.” - Kimaya, Short Stay Student from Singapore

For those wishing to stay for the full year, the consultation will also include discussion of the experience we are able to offer as the year progresses.

“I had a wonderful time at Cobham Hall; everyone here is so kind. My year group, Year 11, were so nice and always included me in everything. Cobham became a second family to me. Everyone helps everybody else and to experience life in Boarding was one of my best decisions. It is so much fun and our Housemistresses are kind and funny. You can talk to them whenever you want, they will always help you; you are not alone. I really had the best time of my life and I will never regret it. It was absolutely worth it to come to Cobham Hall.”
“Cobham Hall really provides a variety of subjects. I’ve noticed that we have lots of options, for example, in Art you can get into photography or sculpture. There are so many things you can do.”
