Staff Prayer Items(January / 2012) Henry and Ling Lu (General Director, Headquarter Office; Milton Keynes UK) Prayer requests 1. December was a busy month with heavy workload at the HQ office, but our staff team together with volunteers put in our best effort to get everything done in ?me for the two back to back Year End camps. Praise the Lord for gran?ng us sufficient strength to serve the campers. We are especially thankful to the Lord for the strong team from Toronto Canada to take charge of the children’s program at the Christmas camp, what they did might not have been highlighted during the camp, but we trust that God will remember their labor prompted by love. 2. We give thanks to the Lord for the new staff workers at the mission centre. Pray that God will lead them to adjust to new working environment, and give them wisdom and ability to face various challenges. 3. Ling will take up the responsibility of editor for the Living Water Magazine this year. Please pray for her to have ?me to get to know the different aspects of this new assignment. 4. Our daughter Annabel will have GCSE exams from 4th to 30th of January. Please con?nue to pray for her to have confidence, good health, and pa?ence endurance to get through this month. 5. Please pray for Henry’s preaching and overseas travel this month: 8/1 Bristol CBC; 10-‐15/1 to China to a^end our missionary staff LeiLei’s wedding to Ida Liu; 20-‐24/1 to Glasgow, Scotland; 29/1 Bristol CCC.
Rebecca Mao (Director of Member Care; Milton Keynes UK) Thanksgiving 1. In December, I went to Basel and Glasgow for weekend ministry. I had wonderful fellowship with brothers and sisters at both places and really enjoyed ministering to them. 2. In December, we had a training day for small group leaders. It went well and we all had a good ?me of bonding and fellowship. Prayer request 3. Part of the training program has been planned out. In the coming days, we need to implement those plans and work out the details for these programs. Please pray for the process. 4. Some of my family members are going through some trial situa?on. Please uphold them in prayer.
Gordon and Maggie Lam (Student Ministry; Milton Keynes UK) Thanksgiving 1. Thank God for good ?me with family and friends during their holidays back to Hong Kong. 2. There were more than 50 students coming to a^end the Christmas party at Montepllier and Nice in France. Some of them even put their faith in Christ. Prayer Request 3. Pray for Gordon’s ministry in Montepllier and Nice at the second weekend in January. The ministry including leading the student fellowship, visita?on and preaching on Sunday service. 4. Pray for Gordon’s ministry in York, Sunderland and Hull from Thursday to Monday of the third week of January. 5. Pray for the plan of Gospel Team 2012. Gordon and Maggie have to fix the places of this year’s gospel tour at the beginning of February and start to get in touch with the churches and fellowships aderwards. May God guide us! 6. Pray for God’s protec?on upon our family in Hong Kong, Gordon and Maggie’s health. May the Lord give them enough strength every day to serve the Lord.

Min Yin (CommunicaEon; Milton Keynes UK) Thanksgiving 1. Thank God for bringing a brand new year full of hope. 2. Thank God for two encouraging camps at the end of 2011 and for being able to witness a lot of people coming to the Lord 3. Thank God for bringing back my visa and passport before Christmas so that I can go back to China for Chinese New Year in January. Prayer request 4. Please pray for my parents and may the Lord grant me opportunity to share the gospel with them when I'm at home. 5. My mum plans to come over to visit UK in this Spring and pray for the visa applica?on. 6. Pray for the thesis wri?ng and may the Lord give me wisdom to manage my ?me.

Thank God that with the help of our staff and volunteers at centre, the logis?cs of 2 back-‐to-‐back gospel camps and the ?dy-‐up aderwards run smoothly. 2. May finished the design of two posters, one for Easter Camp and the other for a Training Camp in March. 3. Thank God that Salt and Light Fellowship in London had a great partnership with Lumen Church to hold a Christmas Party “Wonderland”. Prayer requests 4. Joe and May are back to Taiwan to be with family from 8th January to 5th February. Pray that they will have a good ?me with their family during the Chinese New Year and also have ?me to share their ministry in the UK with their sending churches and other brothers and sisters in Taiwan.
Paul Du (Centre Maintenance & IT; Milton Keynes UK) Thanksgiving 1. Thank God for bringing me to COCM and thank all the staff and volunteers at the centre gave me a feeling like home. Prayer request 2. My parents plan to visit me during the Chinese New Year. Please pray for their visa. May the Lord grant us a Chinese New Year full of happiness. Pray that my parents will also have the opportunity to come to the faith. 3. Pray that I will soon adapt to the work here at COCM. May the Lord give me wisdom to grasp all the needed skills, including driving.

Pray for new term's student mission in Luton Chinese Church. 3. There are some new believers in Luton and York Chinese church, pray for their growth and the new believer training work in church. 4. Pray that Jessica has wisdom and guidance from God for her new work in COCM.
Jean Tsoi (Associate; Manchester UK) Prayer request 1. Jean and Daniel (Jean’s husband) went to France with Gordon Lam during the Christmas ?me. It was their first ministry trip to the Con?nent. Thank God that everything went smoothly. Thank God for opening up their eyes to see a huge harves?ng field, which is much bigger than they thought. Pray that God will guide Jean and Daniel’s service in the future, which will be be^er used by the Lord.
Oiling Lam (Student Ministry; Colchester UK) Thanksgiving 1. Leading a student to make a commitment to follow Jesus on phone. May the Lord strengthen his new found faith. 2. Thank God for watching over the Christmas Family Mandarin Camp and Year-‐end Student Mandarin Camp. Some of the campers came to the faith and some even show their willingness to enter into full-‐?me ministry one day. 3. Thank God for keeping me in the last year. Prayer request 4. Pray that the Lord will strengthen those who made their commitments during the two camps. 5. Pray for the training of those new believers and pray that the Lord will strengthen their faith and help them to finish the courses. 6. Student V, ader returning home, underwent the spying and interroga?on. May the Lord give her wisdom to protect her parents.

Staff Prayer Items(January / 2012) Mary Ma (Student Ministry; Brighton UK) Thanksgiving 1. Thank God that more than 130 people coming to a^end our gospel mee?ng in December. 2. More than 80 students coming to a^end a wedding of a student couple on 3rd December. It was also a gospel event and nearly 60 of them are non believers. 3. Thank God for healing Mary’s led shoulder. Prayer request 4. Pray for Bible study on Friday night at university. Pray for Mary’s teaching. 5. Pray for Sunday service and the bible study aderwards. Pray for Mary’s sermon on Sunday and everyone who are taking the discipleship training course. 6. Pray for the study of overseas students and their salva?on. Pray for those who have already put their faith in Christ to con?nue growing in Him. 7. Pray for Mary’s physical and spiritual health. Hong is the only co-‐worker Mary has at this moment. Please pray for Hong’s knee pain and her husband’s salva?on.
Monica Li (Student Ministry; Lancaster UK) Thanksgiving 1. Thank God for the ?me with friends and family in Hong Kong and for opportuni?es to be His witness. Prayer request 2. I will make the ini?al move up to Lancaster on 9 Jan and rent a room from a Chinese sister whilst looking for a house to rent near the university, only then can I sort out my house in Milton Keynes. Please pray for God’s provision and that everything will happen in His ?me. 3. Please pray for strength in every way for leaving Milton Keynes, adjus?ng to Lancaster and the new ministry of working with Mainland Chinese students.
Chu-‐Yin Ho (Student Ministry; Dundee UK) Prayer request 1. As we started New Year 2012, pray that God will con?nue to bless the student home ministry. Pray that God will also draw the students to seek Him as we build good rela?onship with them. 2. Pray for the fellowship that God will increase the number this New Year. There are 3 non-‐believing students who have joined us but 2 of them have become less regular. We pray that God will renew their seeking hearts and that we can help them be^er to know Christ. 3. On a personal level, pray for good health and also a renewed passion for serving Him. Pray that God will also help me to draw close to Him so that I can discern His will for the work and my life as a whole.

Kam Hung and Mi Ting Ho (Interim Dirctor of Admin, Church PlanEng; Hull UK) Thanksgiving 1. It was an especially warm Christmas. Thank God that all the Christmas mee?ngs were completed with good par?cipa?on and some new comers too. Pray that we know the will of God to face the challenge of 2012. Prayer request 2. Pray for wisdom and power to face the challenge of the year ahead. 3. Pray for celebra?on of Chinese New Year. It will be good opportunity to invite new people. 4. Mi Ting's elder brother passed away on 31 December. Mi Ting will go to Hong Kong to a^end the funeral, which will be on January 20, and 21. Pray that the whole family will experience God's comfort.

Praise God for a quiet and peaceful Christmas ?me to celebrate the birth of our Saviour and mediate on His salva?on to all of us. 2. Noah (elder son) came home during Christmas ?me and we have had some ‘quality’ family ?me together. Prayer requests 3. Lawrence will teach TEE courses in the following churches – CCiL (Croydon, Hammersmith, Soho), Kent (Gillingham) in January 4. Pray for the prepara?on of Evangelism explosion III training and gospel visita?ons in Bristol CCC, which will is due to start in mid January 5. We start the promo?on of Midlands Easter Conference; the theme is ‘Run the Race’. Pray for a posi?ve response to the conference and that a^endees will be inspired and encouraged to serve the Lord wholeheartedly.

Pray for the hearts of those seekers at New Year Service on 1st January. Chi Ming was the speaker and Wing Chun took care of all the logis?cs. 4. Chi Ming went back to Hong Kong on 2nd January. 5. Wing Chun will preach on 8th January and may the Lord give her wisdom and strength. Pray for the church annual mee?ng on 15th January. 6. Wing Chun will be back to Hong Kong during 18th January to 9th February. 7. Rev. Wong will come to Den Bosch Church on 27-‐29 January. May the Lord prepare people’s hearts. 8. Pray for Den Bosch Church when it is entering into a new year. Pray for the collabora?on of the brothers and sisters at church, especially those who are young and those who are new to the serving.
