La lista de referencias bibliográficas que se acompaña, fue recopilada con el propósito de ayudar en la redacción de un Plan de Contingencia para la Biblioteca
General del Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez. Todos los recursos bibliográficos, así como copias de los artículos de revistas mencionados están disponibles en la Biblioteca
General para uso del público. A los libros, se le ha añadido el número de clasificación para ayudar en la localización de los mismos.
Esta lista bibliográfica no prentende ser exhaustiva, sin embargo es una herramienta práctica, ya que cubre la mayoría de los desastres que pueden ocurrir en una biblioteca: incendios, terremotos, huracanes, hongos, inundaciones, y otros. Es la intención de la compiladora que esta lista pueda servir de ayuda a otros colegas en la preparación de planes de contingencia para sus respectivas instituciones.
