working on E A T with axisuite速

We know a er-treatment like the palm of our hands. Working in and out of the lab, we engineer advanced tools enabling model-based development throughout the product cycle. Fundamentals axisuite速 incorporates state-of-the-art science without simplifying compromises. The cornerstone of our models is the proper formulation of the governing balance equations.

Chemistry axisuite速 incorporates a wealth of experimental data, kinetic libraries and literature models for all catalytic technologies. Full flexibility is offered for user-defined reaction schemes.

Solvers axisuite速 is based on proprietary numerical methods to treat the stiffness of the numerical problems. Incredibly fast calculation times are achieved with guaranteed solver stability.

Interface axisuite速 is adapted to the workflows of exhaust system simulation, offering quick access to the parameters of interest and full-featured 3D post-processing of the results in every detail.

Our job is to develop the most comprehensive and industry proven EAT*simulation Beneficiaries: > automotive OEMs > engine suppliers in all sectors > exhaust system integrators > catalyst suppliers > substrate and filter suppliers > engineering and consulting companies

ax axisuite® is a paradigm of science turned

into technology to benefit the industry, the consumer and the environment. It is the outcome of multi-year efforts of a devoted multidisciplinary group of mechanical,

axisuite® is used across the complete development process from preliminary design to detailed optimization and system control. Spanning from 1-D to 3-D with unbelievable flexibility and calculation speed, it enables the setup and simulation of complete exhaust systems in minutes.

3D+ catalyst modeling From detailed chemistry to control applications

3D+ DPF modeling Filtration and reaction phenomena in all filter types

The advanced features of axicat ensure reliable predictions of the cold-start and ‘real-driving’ emissions supporting the optimization of warm-up strategies, catalyst loading, and substrate design. Equipped with robust numerical solvers and uncompromised modeling detail, axicat supports all types of gasoline, diesel and gas engine ‘flow-through’ EAT components, incl TWC, DOC, SCR, LNT and ASC.

Optimizing the design and control of wall-flow filtering devices is an engineering challenge for both diesel and gasoline applications. axitrap is extensively used to support the ever increasing demands of combining filtration and catalytic functionalities, enabling cost-savings, pressure losses minimization and fuel efficiency. Combined with our integrated stress analysis FEA module, axitrap offers complete solutions for DPF/GPF durability analysis.

Filtration and catalytic reactions in foam-, fleeceand fiber-based devices

Exhaust pipe heat transfer, fluid injection, evaporation and reaction models

The depth filtration with cartridge filters based on fiber or foam technology is modelled with axifoam. Transient predictions of flow, heat- and mass transfer combined with catalytic reactions are guiding the proper design of such systems to meet the conflicting pressure drop and filtration efficiency requirements.

Accurate heat losses modeling with axiheat is crucial to optimize exhaust thermal management. The unique transient models of the complex 2-phase phenomena predict the formation of liquid/solid wall films and homogeneous reactions, providing the proper inputs to the connected EAT components.
