The Messenger THINK ABOUT IT By Lakan Mariano “Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things? “ (Romans 8:32). The logic is simple and profound—from the greater to the lesser. God has already given his Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to pay for our sins. If God is willing to do that great act, then we can expect him to do and provide what is necessary for believers to live victoriously. Take note that this not a promise of health, wealth, and prosperity but the unrelenting and reassuring presence of Christ in our lives. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?” (Romans 8:35). Our persistent lack is not because of God's unwillingness to provide for us. Often it is the result of prayerlessness.
“You do not have because you do not ask God” (James 4:2). Believers in Jesus Christ have a good God, a gracious Father who loves them and cares for them. We recognize those things about our heavenly Father when we come to him in prayer. ~Lakan In This Issue From the Pastor AWANA Clubs Events & Upcoming Dates Summer Events Ministry Opportunity Youth Ministries College Ministries Contact Information Office Hours
