The Messenger FEED ON GOD'S FAITHFULNESS By Lakan Mariano For believers in Jesus Christ there is a time to put on your armor for battle (Ephesians 6:10-17), a time to run with perseverance (Hebrews 12:1), a time to go in disciplined training (1 Timothy 4:8), and to run as hard as you can to win the prize (1 Corinthians 9:24). And then there are times our greatest strength is our weakness, when we are unable to figure things out anymore, when the trail disappears in a patch of weeds and thorns. That is the time to wait on the Lord, to rest on him. “Trust in the LORD, and do good… feed on His faithfulness” (Psalm 37:3). Trusting God is not inactivity (“Do good”). Trusting God is remembering and resting on His faithfulness to his word, his promises. How do we do that? “Feed on His faithfulness.”
To remember God's faithfulness in the Bible and in our life. To recite and re-read when God fulfilled his promises. And in feeding on God's faithfulness, we delight in him. “Delight yourself in the LORD” (Psalm 37:4). To delight in the Lord is to shift our focus from our problems to Christ. To find our satisfaction and joy not in the change of our circumstances but in Christ. Feeding on God's faithfulness and delighting in him go hand in hand. This allows to see the invisible world of God
while living in the visible fallen world. ~Lakan In This Issue From the Pastor AWANA Clubs Events & Upcoming Dates Ministry Opportunity Youth Ministries College Ministries Contact Information
