The Messenger A SAFE SHELTER One of the safe and comfortable shelters I run to when times are tough is the sovereignty of God. It is safe, because God rules over everything. It is comfortable because God rules with loving care. From the womb… "Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something." (Psalm 139:13-15, MSG).
To old age... "Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you" (Isaiah 46:4). To death... "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints" (Psalm 116:15). Yes, believers are in the loving and protective arms of the Lord Jesus from conception until death.
