Student Employment Services

Student Employment Services (SES) encourages the professional development of undergraduate and graduate students through job opportunities, workshops, and resources to foster postgraduate success.

Approximately 3,400 students are employed at LMU each year and gain valuable skills, connections, and part-time experiences. National reports and LMU retention statistics indicate that student employees are more successful because of the skills and experiences they obtain on the job, which can lead to improved academic performance.

There are many types of student employment opportunities, which include:

Work Study – On Campus

• Various LMU Departments • Largest source of part-time student employment

Work Study – Off Campus

• Lions for Learning: Math and literacy tutoring at local elementary and middle schools

• LMU Partners Program: Work with non-profit organizations in

Los Angeles

Non Work Study – On Campus

• Various LMU departments • LMU vendors: Sodexo, Jamba Juice,

The Coffee Bean, and more

Non Work Study – Off Campus

• Job Location and Development

Program – Meet with an SES staff member to review part-time offcampus job opportunities

Workday is LMU’s new student employment system. Through Workday, students can search and apply for LMU job opportunities on the student job board.
