Winter Ball 2020 presents a rock star themed dance for mothers and sons (or mother figures) and fathers and daughters (or father figures). SPRING BREAK CAMPS Rookie Baseball Camp Our baseball camps provides an opportunity for the youngest baseball players, ages 4-6 years old, to become familiar with the fundamentals of the game. Fundamental skills include hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running. The sessions allow for players to learn the basics and to develop individual skills. Instruction is individually oriented regardless of skill level and experience. Volleyball Camp The Spring Break Volleyball Camp will offer players 8-13 years old the opportunity to train with Integrity Volleyball Club coaches. This all skills volleyball camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of passing, serving, attacking, setting, and defense. There will be a variety of stations, team building games, and drills for each individual skill. It is expected that each camper shows up with an eager attitude, ready to learn, and work hard. The goal of this all skill volleyball camp is to advance the knowledge of volleyball so each player can move onto the next level. Serving Clinic The main focus of this volleyball serving clinic will be over hand serving and things you can do at home to improve your strength and mechanics to overhand serve. This camp is designed to break down the fundamentals of serving so each player can learn the proper overhand serving techniques. SPRING BREAK CAMPS Little Veterinarian School

Drone Commander In Snapology’s Drone Commander Camp, students will be introduced to the world of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and develop a deep understanding how to control and manage this exciting technology. In this workshop, your student will learn about the types of UAVs, the parts needed for controlled flight, the forces of flight, basic drone safety, and a variety of flying maneuvers. This exciting workshop will give your student the chance to safely test out some of the newest advances in robotics and really take their knowledge of engineering to new heights! In this 15 hour camp, students will learn how to make important measurements, make assessments and perform an exam, understand the importance of proper nutrition and hydration, discuss what to do when a dog is injured, what are lacerations and proper care of stitches, how to inspect and properly remove ticks, how to give medicine to a dog, the purpose of vaccinations and how the body builds immunities, discuss different types of radiographs, how they are taken and how to read them, be able to name, label, and explain digestive organs, what happens when a foreign body is stuck in the digestive tract, be able to differentiate between the types of dog body language, name and label parts of the dogs eye, and discuss dog vision, discuss what it takes to become a Vet and type of Veterinary careers. Students go home with a disposable lab coat, plush dog, dog bandana, adoption certificate, dog bowl, dog bone cookie cutter and recipe card, gloves, mask, sutures, syringe, tape measure, vet office worksheet, rules, good anatomy worksheet, laminated x-ray and wax pencil, dog body language worksheet, eye worksheet and model, and a diploma. My Grandparents and Me - Combat Robots Robot battles have been popular since Rock’em Sock’em made their debut in the 1950’s. Newer programs such as Battle Bots have brought robot fighting to a whole new generation. Snapology’s Combat Robots will put the design of a fighting robot into their students’ hands. Instructors will teach the grandparent and their grandchild teammate(s) how to create a strong robot that will be driven by remote control. With guided instruction, the students will create their own combat robot with its own look, weapons, and name. There is no school on Jan. 20. The fee includes one grandparent and up to two grandchildren within the age range.

Jo-Ann’s Little Dancers

This class will prepare your small tot physically and emotionally to perform in organized sports. Skills like throwing, catching, kicking, and gymnastics will be practiced during class. Your tot will work through team stations and perform tasks that gradually build confidence in a fun and kid friendly environment. No class Mar. 9.

These classes will develop poise and coordination while teaching the fundamentals of ballet and tap. Classes will create group interaction skills and support your child’s self-esteem and positive image. Children will also develop rhythm and music appreciation skills. TOT – Teams of Tomorrow Teams of Tomorrow (TOT) is a basketball skills enrichment program focusing on athletics, academics, and agility for preschool children ages 3 to 5. TOT has developed a curriculum using fun age appropriate music that teaches preschoolers ball handling and dribbling skills. TOT is a fun, fast-paced, and unique activity that both boys and girls can participate in while being engaged during the entire class. While a basketball is the main tool used in the TOT class, preschoolers are also exposed to fine and gross motor skills activities, as well as higher order thinking and listening activities. Spring Volleyball – Girls League & Boys League The league is designed to introduce youth to the game of volleyball. It was created to provide a safe, fun environment to learn the basic premises of the game through practices, teaching the fundamental volleyball skills, sport ethics, and league competition. A team will consist of a minimum of 8 players and maximum of 12 players. Teams will practice an hour each week. Players will receive a team t-shirt. Registration can be completed online or in person. To register, the team coach must contact the Recreation Department at 817.503.1180 with their team information. At that time, the coach will be given a team code to give to their team to register. Signing up as an individual or a free agent does not guarantee your child a spot on a team. A coach will have to volunteer in order for a team of free agents to be formed. Colleyville Squirrels Junior Team Tennis Home of the 2013 State Champions! This class is designed for players wanting to get involved in NETT Junior Team Tennis. Co-ed Sand Volleyball Leagues Sand Volleyball leagues for varying recreational skill level. Leagues are designed to cultivate friendly competition in a fun and safe environment. Each league will have six weeks of regular games, played on a designated evening, followed by a single elimination tournament. Registration can be completed online, over the phone, or in person. Free agents are welcome, but not guaranteed a spot until an existing team agrees to take on a new member or a new team can be formed.

Yoga Flow Basics Each month, the class begins by exploring basic alignment of selected poses, breath work, and meditation. As the class progresses, new poses are added creating a flow using these poses and synchronizing them with proper breathing. Class begins with warm-up poses to allow deeper stretching and cool-down poses to release muscles, allowing deep relaxation. No experience necessary, class is designed to provide options for all levels. Gentle Stretch Yoga with a Touch of Yin This gentle class practiced to soothing music combines poses, breath work, and relaxation, giving you an overall body stretch. Enjoy the addition of passively held yin poses that work on the deep dense connective tissues of the body; the tendons, ligaments, and cartilage. With the use of bolsters, yin helps release and surrender the body consequently releasing and surrendering the mind. The benefits include letting go, becoming calmer, and being less reactive to stressors. Heartfulness Meditation

Come learn the basics of salsa dance and merengue while having fun. This is a great opportunity to move, socialize, and learn the basic steps of salsa dance. Bring your partner or come by yourself. No previous dance experience required.

Heartfulness is a simple and effective way to integrate meditation into our daily life. The heartfulness technique shows us to gently turn our attention towards our heart and experience that inner presence for ourselves. The course consists of a description of the technique, followed by a guided relaxation session and a meditation session. The courses are for people seeking relaxation, individual meditation practice, or to develop the deepest connection to one’s own inner being.

Pavilion Rentals

Pavilions that are available for rent are City Park, Colleyville Nature Center, Kimzey Park, McPherson Park, and Sparger Park. Rentals include picnic tables. The Colleyville Nature Center is the only pavilion with a grill. Yoga Flow Basics

Jazzercise Lo-Impact

Each month, the class begins by exploring basic alignment of selected poses, breath work, and meditation. As the class progresses, new poses are added creating a flow using these poses and synchronizing them with proper breathing. Class begins with warm-up poses to allow deeper stretching and cool-down poses to release muscles, allowing deep relaxation. No experience necessary, class is designed to provide options for all levels.

Use muscles, not momentum to get a total-body workout that brings all the dance fitness fun without the hop. Line Dancing Beginner class is for students with previous dance experience. Students should be capable of learning basic steps: grapevine, chasse, jazz box, etc. Routines up to 48 counts may include rhythms like Waltz or Cha Cha and tempos are slow to moderate. Improver/Intermediate students need previous dance experience and basic skills. My Grandparents and Me Jam Session - Combat Robots All instruments and experience Robot battles have been popular since Rock’em Sock’em made their debut in the 1950’s. Newer programs such as Battle Bots have brought robot fighting to a whole new generation. Snapology’s Combat Robots will put the design of a fighting robot into their students’ hands. Instructors will teach the grandparent and their grandchild teammate(s) how to create a strong robot that will be driven by remote control. With guided instruction, the students will create their own combat robot with its own look, weapons, and name. There is no school on Jan. 20. The fee includes one grandparent and up to two grandchildren within the age range.
