inged bracelets, either circular or penannular, inspired and detailed by the most exotic fauna and often rendered with juxtaposed fairy-tale protomes, stand out as important must-have jewels. Very much in trend towards the end of the Thirties, when an already mature Art Déco preferred three-dimensional and more sculptural forms to the previous ones, flatter and more geometric, they re-appeared at the end of the Sixties and part of the Seventies thanks to the divine David Webb, creative wizard along with Verdura of dreamy wrist menageries featuring zebra, elephants, leopards or whimsical sea creatures. They make today a strong fashionable come-back to outline, with undeniable statement, the most refined and sophisticated looks. Lee Siegelson discovers again exceptional vintage masterpieces signed by Boivin or Sterlé, either in shiny yellow gold set with imposing square-cut citrines played in colour gradation, or with refined braided gold weave, diamonds and the same gems, now drop-shaped, by a definite New Look mood, when gold textures mimicked every kind of sartorial trimmings. Tiffany, with its magnificent Blue Book collection, enchants with a bracelet shaped like a double tropical fish with sapphire scales, face set with diamonds, cabochon eyes and lower body paved with rubies. The hinged semicircular bangle by Van Cleef & Arpels is stunning: entirely studded in pink and delicate azure sapphires, the diamond finials set with coral cabochons of salmon colour. Atop At the wrist, an important cushion-cut pink sapphire rests on refined ne geometric motifs paved with round and fancy-cut diamonds. A wonderful display of shapes, colours and unique gems.

bracciali rigidi, semi circolari e non, di gusto animalier o con protome fiabesche contrapposte si impongono come importanti gioielli must-have. Di grande tendenza già sul finire degli Anni’30, quando un Déco ormai maturo preferiva forme tridimensionali e scultoree alle precedenti, piatte e geometriche, riproposto tra la fine degli anni’60 e parte dei ’70 dal divino David Webb, mago assieme a Verdura di oniriche ménageries da polso fatte di zebre, elefanti, leopardi o divertenti creature marine, sono ora ritornati di gran moda per sottolineare con indubbio statement i look più preziosi e sofisticati. Lee Siegelson ritrova eccezionali pezzi vintage firmati Boivin o Sterlé sia in oro giallo lucido, montato con sculturali quarzi citrini giocati in nuances dégradé, squadrati, sia con raffinate lavorazioni a cordone, diamanti e le medesime gemme, qui a goccia, che strizzano l’occhio al mood del periodo New Look, quando le lavorazioni dell’oro sposavano le trame delle passananerie di ogni tipo. Tiffany con la sua magistrale collezione Blue Book incanta con quello a forma di doppio pesce tropicale, le squame di zaffiri ed il muso in diamanti pavé, occhi cabochon e sottopolso in pavé di rubini. Superbo il bangle semicircolare di Van Cleef & Arpels interamente rivestito di zaffiri rosa con dettagli di altri di un delicato azzurro, i terminali contrapposti in cabochon di corallo salmone.Al centro del polso un importante zaffiro rosa taglio cushion poggia su raffinati castoni geometrici in diamanti di tagli differenti. Viktor & Rolf We often wonder how art influences fashion. Viktor & Rolf have dodged the question by making their fashion show a real artistic performance, their collection, emblematically entitled 'Wearable Art', in the making right on the catwalk. Crumpled canvas on show, broken, that fit the silhouette creating sensational sculpture dresses. The Palais de Tokyo becomes the stage for an exciting event, which traces the exploits of the great painters, with particular reference to the work 'The Threatened Swan' by Dutchman Jan Asselijn.

Viktor&Rolf hanno eluso la domanda facendo della loro sfilata una vera e propria performance artistica, una collezione, dall’emblematico titolo ‘Wearable Art’, in divenire direttamente sulla passerella. Sfilano tele accartocciate, spezzate, che si adattano alla silhouette creando sensazionali abiti scultura.
