9th Mortgage Free Home to be Donated

PGA REACH Colorado has been a growing force for delivering on pillars we’ve committed ourselves to. Through the good work and generosity of our section leadership, our section professionals, our REACH trustees, and our donors, our tangible progress has been tremendous

PGA REACH Colorado will soon host our annual Invitational tournament The annual event will be hosted over two days We kick off on the evening of July 17 at Bear Dance with entertainment, camaraderie, and some fundraising activities Most importantly, we will celebrate our tenth year partnering with Military Warriors Support Foundation and 9th home awarded to a combat-wounded veteran that evening We will follow that on July 18 with our golf event for even more fun and camaraderie
Our ability to positively impact the lives of military veterans has been a keystone for our organization As mentioned above, we will award a ninth mortgage-free home to a combat-wounded veteran this year through our partnerships with the Military Warriors Support Foundation and Wells Fargo. As I think back on the amazing heroes we’ve been able to assist, my heart is humbled, and my gratitude is multiplied.
This year, PGA REACH Colorado is awarding a home to Zachary Ruttman of Tulsa, OK (pictured to the right) He enlisted in the US Air Force immediately after the 9/11 attacks. He served in the Tactical Forces Group, Team II of the 506th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron. Zac has been awarded the Purple Heart, the Air Force Combat Action Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal with Valor, the Iraq Campaign Medal, and as well as other commendations. Zac is a Mentor in the Air Force Wounded Warriors Program and is competing in adaptive sports Zac is a father of two young boys who receive much of his time and energy
