Colorado Springs, Colo. - Sunny blue skies greeted the 12 Colorado PGA and 12 Sun Country PGA Professionals as they arrived at The Country Club of Colorado for the beginning of the 2023 Taylor Cup Matches. The Taylor Cup is a biannual, Ryder Cup-style, event that pits Colorado PGA Professionals against Sun Country PGA Professionals. Teams were made up of eight regular division players and four senior division players Four-ball matches were played in the morning on Wednesday, followed by Foursome (Alternate Shot) matches in the afternoon The matches wrapped up on Thursday morning with 12 singles matches

Wednesday morning saw the Colorado PGA Team get off to a flying start, claiming four of the possible six points to take a 4-2 advantage into the foursomes The Sun Country PGA Professionals came storming back during the alternate shot portion that afternoon claiming five of a possible six points to jump out to a 7-5 advantage heading into the final day singles

Team Colorado PGA needed to get off to a good start on Thursday to have a chance at mounting a comeback and boy did they ever An hour into the matches being on the golf course there were plenty of leads for the Colorado PGA and they did not look back Eight of the 12 singles matches were captured by the Colorado PGA which led to them retaining the Taylor Cup, from the last time the event was played in 2016 at The Club at Flying Horse
