1-week residential program: Explore your creative side in an exciting residential art camp—and discover the many paths your artistic journey can take.

3-week residential program: Spend three weeks taking classes with our faculty, meeting professional artists, exhibiting your work, and exploring Columbus and its art scene. You’ll leave campus ready to drive your college search. Students graduating in 2014 are also welcome.

1-week studio intensive for art, design, technology, and arts integration educators: Recharge your creative side with personal studio time—while earning CEUs and experiencing CCAD’s new curriculum firsthand.

Discovery Club Grades 7–9 If you’re a middle-school student and want to find out more about studying art and design, Discovery Club is for you. In just one week, you’ll explore majors and career paths so you can make better high school course choices. You’ll also get a taste of what it’s like to be a student at one of the country’s best art and design colleges. You customize your Discovery Club experience by choosing two Major Workshops—one for the morning, and one for the afternoon. Each workshop focuses on skills and techniques that relate to one of CCAD’s nine different majors. The Major Workshops:

PROGRAM COSTS Discovery Club’s program fee of $975 covers one week of on-campus residence, all meals, all supplies, and all costs related to local transportation, admission, and food for off-campus activities. College PreView Grades 10–12 If you’re a high school student considering a future in the visual arts, College PreView will make your decision clear—and earn you three college credits. You’ll live on campus and take classes at one of the country’s best art and design colleges. But—just like in college—there’s more. You’ll also show your work, meet professional artists, and explore Columbus and its creative scene. In just three weeks, you will: Get real-life experience within your chosen major. Develop your skills and your portfolio. Earn real college credit.

LEISURE TIME AND EVENING EVENTS Guided social activities and off-campus trips round out College PreView. For details, visit www.ccad.edu/ce/cp. PROGRAM COSTS The program fee of $2,950 covers three college credits, as well as on-campus residence, all meals, all supplies, and all costs related to local transportation, admission, and food for off-campus activities. SCHOLARSHIPS Scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,500 are available. To apply, go to ccad.slideroom.com and fill out the application form. You will also be required to submit three examples of your work, a letter of recommendation, and a personal statement. COLLEGE CREDIT If you attend all classes, complete all assignments successfully, and earn a C or better, you will be granted three college credits.

THE COLLABORATIVE CORE IN THE CCAD MINDMARKET Collaborative Core projects are key to all majors at CCAD—so they’re also a big part of your College PreView coursework. In them, you’ll work as a team on real-world art and design challenges for industry and community partners in the CCAD MindMarket. Based on the major(s) you’re most interested in, you’ll select one of the following areas as the focus of your work in the Collaborative Core:

CREATIVITY WORKSHOPS Creativity Workshops are short, intensive lectures and hands-on sessions that challenge you to expand your innovation skills and creative abilities. They include:

Educators’ Summer Studio If you’re an art, design, technology, or arts integration teacher, your professional effectiveness goes hand-in-hand with your personal creativity. The Educators’ Summer Studio is a program of meaningful professional development and impactful creative experiences designed especially for you. Experience CCAD’s new, forwardthinking curriculum firsthand and engage in collaboration with others—all in the college’s up-to-the-minute professional studios, labs, and classrooms. In just one week, you’ll: Invest in your own creative growth and development. Build relationships with other creative and innovative educators, and with the faculty and staff at CCAD. Get specific activities and lesson ideas to take back to your classroom. Bolster your understanding of how design education can be integrated with business and entrepreneurship.

PROGRAM COSTS The program fee of $250 covers three CEU credits, one week of on-campus residence, 12 meals, all supplies, and all costs related to local transportation, admission, and off-campus activities. Alternatively, you may choose to live off-campus and attend as a nonresidential participant for a fee of $50, which does not include on-campus residence or meals. LEISURE TIME AND EVENING EVENTS To round out your time in class and in the studio, the Summer Studio includes visits to local sites where creativity is shaping culture and commerce, as well as social outings.

Using design thinking and collaborative problem solving, your creative team pursues a common goal, with a real client and a real project.
