Jean passed away Tuesday February 22, 2022, after a long battle with pneumonia. Jean was born August 1, 1951 to Edgar and Mary (Connie) Henning. Her siblings include Terrence (Patsy) Henning, Lawrence (Sandra) Henning, Edgar Henning Jr, Edith Erwin and June Couch. Several nieces and nephews, and a special aunt Joan Wasserman. Sister-in-law Laura (George) Zeock. Jean loved spending time with her family. She married Steven on June 25, 1994. Her children are Chad (Julie) Hayward, Clay Hayward, Manda (Eric) Russell, Kimberly (Jeremy) Graves. But the real joy of her life were her grandchildren, Avery, Jack, Riley and Madelyn Hayward, Jarod and Elisa Russell, Taylor (Olivia), Kyllee (John), Bailey (Derek) Knight, Abbygale and Andrew Graves, and her great grandchildren, Lincoln and Raegan Knight, Carter Wass, and two great grandbabies due in September. The family will receive guests Wednesday March 2 from 4:00-8:00pm at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, downtown Naperville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday March 3 at 10:30am at St. Raphael Catholic Church, Naperville. Interment will be held on Friday March 4 in the Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo Ohio. AGE 82 - PLAINWELL, MI Diane passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 in Cape Coral, Florida. She was born July 28, 1939 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Summner and Anita (Galer) Sleep. 60 years ago Diane was saved and began her life of worshipping her Lord. She enjoyed attending church and had served as a deaconess, teacher and secretary for many years. Diane enjoyed taking care of her home and was also secretary at Hoard Chiropractic Clinic. Family was everything to Diane. She never missed any of her grandchildren’s sporting events and loved taking family vacations. Diane was an avid Alabama Football fan and liked reading, shopping, especially for her grandchildren, going to the theater and celebrating Christmas and Easter with her family. In 1958 in Kalamazoo, she married Henry “Al” Turner who survives. Also surviving are her children, Michelle Link of Mattawan and Rob (Rachel) Turner of Illinois; 5 grandchildren, Nicole (Pat), Desiree (Jason), Jack, Faith and Selah and 2 great-granddaughters, Lily and Sophia. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Al Link and siblings, Jack, Alice and Pat. Friends may visit with Diane’s family starting at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Thaddeus Stout officiating. Private family burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell. Contributions in memory of Diane may be made to the YMCA Women’s Shelter or the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.

The good news is that Peter’s failure was not final. On that glorious resurrection morning, Peter re-affirmed his faith in the living Christ (John 21:15-17). We may give up on God, but God never gives up on us.

Over the years I have known many people who felt they were not good enough or worthy enough to receive God’s favor. The issue is not whether we are good enough or worthy enough. The issue is that our God is a God of mercy. God is more willing to forgive our sins than we are to ask. Jesus said there is joy in heaven whenever a lost soul repents of their sin (Luke 15:1-7).

She can be unsure of new situations, but once she is comfortable, her wonderful loving and fun personality comes out! Rei is staying with a foster family while she waits for her forever home. There are 3 dogs for her to play, nap and hang out with. She loves her Coonhound foster brother a lot - they like to chase each other, play tug-of-war, and nap together. Because Rei enjoys the company of dogs so much, and because she gains confidence from the other dogs, her forever home will need to include another dog. A meet and greet will be set up at the shelter to make sure the dogs are a good match. Rei's forever home could also include cats. It is recommended that any children in the home are respectful of pets and are 10 years old and up. Rei is 1 year old and weighs approximately 35 pounds. She is potty trained, has good house manners, and can be left out of her kennel during trips away from the home. At night, Rei sleeps overnight on a doggy bed next to her foster mama's side of the bed (but she would be happy to join you in bed). Whomever adopts her will be very lucky to have Rei as part of their family. Rei's adoption will include a transition period between her foster home and her forever home.
