Another impressive array of photos can be seen in this edition of KSN @Play. From the Tremper football team wearing pink socks in support of breast cancer awareness, to the Bradford soccer team celebrating in the rain, to the Broncos and Jaguars squaring off in CYC football, images capture the action in a compelling fashion.

Spotlighting school sports . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 26-32

Four local high schools and one college are represented in the Inside Schools section of this week’s edition of KSN @Play. Bradford cross-country and soccer, Tremper cross-country and volleyball, Christian Life School cross-country and volleyball, St. Joseph Catholic Academy soccer, and UW-Parkside crosscountry, soccer and volleyball are all highlighted.

The Komets will sell tickets to the Admirals’ Friday, Jan. 27, game against the Chicago Wolves at the Bradley Center, with a portion of the ticket sales going to the Komets. The Komets are also a recipient of Kenosha Day at the Brewers.

“We have a very enthusiastic board which makes everything run well,” cited Ebener of the 15-person group. “We encourage any kid to come out and give it a try. Even if you want to stop by just to watch a game, that’s fine. There are so many friendly people involved to make everyone feel welcome.” The Komets promote giving back to the community. In addition to their free learn to play hockey clinics, they have a “Go Pink” weekend in which Green Bay Packer Hall of Famer LeRoy Butler and friends come to the rink in support of breast cancer. The Komets also partner with the Kenosha Business Bureau to host tournaments throughout the season. More information on the Komets can be found at www.kenosha kometshockey.com.
