EIC Researchers Attended a Micro and Nanofabrication Intensive Workshop
The participants were able to design and manufacture micro and nano devices and microfluidic sensors
Four professors and two PhD students from the School of Engineering and Sciences attended a Micro and Nanofabrication Intensive Workshop. This workshop was held at the MIT facilities located in Cambridge, Massachusetts from April 4 to 8. Bárbara Arévalo, Jorge Luis Cholula Díaz, Hugo Elizalde Siller, Rafael Mendoza Crespo, Ernesto Rodríguez Leal and Salvador E. Venegas Andraca studied the characteristics and attributes of several devices while using different technologies. Brochure of researchers: https://goo.gl/3MnYwD

EIC Researchers Thrive at the MIT
EIC researchers work hand in hand with Ali Khademhosseini and Edward Boyden team The interaction with researchers working in different laboratories has produced notable results. Mario Moisés Álvarez y Grissel Trujillo de Santiago are co-authors of the paper “Hybrid Microscopy: Enabling Inexpensive High-Performance Imaging through Combined Physical and Optical Magnifications,”published in the journal Nature. This paper focuses on the physical magnification of specimens through a technique called expansion microscopy (ExM). Find the complete article here: http://goo.gl/7Z1GqR
Microsystems Technology Laboratories, under the leadership of Jesús del Álamo, hosts this program
Tecnológico de Monterrey and MIT bond goes back to 1943, when Eugenio Garza Sada, MIT Class of 1914 graduate founded Tecnológico de Monterrey. The relationship is strengthened in 2015 with the signature of the collaboration agreement. Tec students and professors have done research stays in nanotechnology and nanosciences areas. Even thought the program was recently created, both universities have noticed benefits due to the exchange of ideas and techniques, as well as the teamwork for scientific productivity.
