> When Donavon Frankenreiter (Laguna Beach, California) was 10 years old, he got his first surfboard. Six years later, he picked up his first guitar. It was the beginning of a wildly creative journey: His improvisational twin obsessions have carried him around the globe and into his fans’ hearts. Donavon presents his new album Start Livin’ at the Wave House Mallorca, a place that mixes perfectly the Californian beaches style with the music.

Back by popular demand, Tinie Tempah (14.08), one of Britain’s biggest stars, will once again take the Mallorca Rocks stage promising a knockout performance. Celebrating one of live music pioneers, the godfathers of Madchester, Happy Mondays (21.08) reunite with the original line-up this year for the first time in 19 years. And last but certainly not least, the man of the moment, Example (28.08) will strut his stuff as he headlines a special live show.
> The expression “good things come in threes” couldn’t be truer … Following 3 magnificent performances in July, The 3 Tenors return for another 3 shows in August. Spain´s 3 best tenors, Vicenc Esteve, Carlos Cremades and Atonio Aragón, who regularly perform in Barcelona and Valencia, bring their magnificent performance to Mallorca this summer season. Accompanied on piano by Francesc Blanco, baritone Pablo Lopez (Andratx & Bellver) and the Pro Music Choir of Soller (Bellver & Soller), they will perform a concert of operatic arias and songs which were part of the 1990 repertoire of the famous tenors Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras.

> August marks the season start for one of the most important annual festivals in Mallorca, The Jazz Voyeur Festival. This year opens its 9th edition with a concert by the German singer Ute Lemper, known as the greatest representative of German cabaret, accompanied on piano by Viana Gierig and Marcelo Nisiman on bandoneon. Her show “Last Tango in Berlin” is inspired by Berlin of the 20’s, a golden age of tango, also including songs by Astor Piazzolla, Kurt Weil, Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel. All performed in one of the most beautiful settings on the island: the historic Bellver Castle.
> The Moscow Ballet will warm the hearts of many with the return of the much loved classic, Swan Lake – the quintessential classical ballet with its gripping tale of love, betrayal, and the triumph of good over evil. A favourite of both ballerinas and audiences alike, this ultimate fairy tale promises dazzling costumes, captivating music and enchanting performances. The ballet company was founded in 1989 by Russian choreographer and dancer Timur Fayzier and is considered one of the most prominent and important companies in Russia, bringing together the leading dancers and choreographers from Russian’s ballets. > El Ballet de Moscú tornará cálidos los corazones de muchos con el regreso del clásico popularísimo “El Lago de los Cisnes”, la quintaesencia del ballet clásico con su apasionante historia de amor, traición y triunfo del bien sobre el mal. Un favorito tanto de los bailarines como del público, este cuento de hadas definitivo promete vestuarios deslumbrantes, música cautivadora y encantadoras interpretaciones. La compañía de ballet fundada en 1989 por el coreógrafo ruso Timur Fayzier y se la considera una de las compañías más importantes y de mayor proyección en Rusia, reuniendo a los mejores bailarines de los ballets rusos.

An 1890 masterpieces of Tchaikovsky’s based on Perrault’s (and the Grimm Brothers’) classic fairy tale – sweet and decadent romanticism offset by bright and inspired music and an unsurpassed choreography. The ballet company has travelled the world for more than 20 years displaying its beautiful choreography and accomplished technique. He started at 17 and since then, hasn’t stopped painting on paper, canvas, murals, columns, fences, furniture…there is not surface Oscar can resist! He learned the art of painting murals through his teacher, Vincente Vila. Since then, he has continued to perfect the technique observing the colours, highlights and shadows of the environment and taking into account the advice of his father, “Stay calm, watch and learn”. With a tremendous spirit for excellence and passion for challenges, Oscar admits he enjoys painting, especially when it comes to applying complex techniques such as perspectives, shadows and 3D effects … where his motto “In the face of adversity, I grow” is reaffirmed. A large number of restaurants and bars in Mallorca have walls that represent the signature of Oscar, including Hemmingway, Bianco e Rosso, Es Trampó, Palapa, O’Maley and Il Panzerotto, in addition to a number of private residences and offices. After an 11 year career in the arts, his main goal is to paint more and more, “I would like to paint the entire island” … and to improve his technique, always with the support of his family who have encouraged him from the beginning.

Comenzó con 17 años y, desde entonces, no ha parado de pintar sobre papel, lienzos, murales, columnas, vallas, muebles… ¡a Óscar no hay superficie que se le resista! Aprendió el arte de pintar murales con su maestro Vicente Vila. Desde entonces no ha parado de perfeccionar su técnica observando los colores, brillos y sombras de su entorno teniendo siempre en cuenta el consejo de su padre “Calla, mira y aprende”. Con un enorme espíritu de superación y pasión por los retos, Óscar confiesa que disfruta pintando, especialmente cuando se trata de aplicar técnicas complejas como las perspectivas, sombras, efecto 3D… su lema “Ante las adversidades me crezco” lo reafirma. Un gran número de locales de restauración en Mallorca ya llevan en alguna de sus paredes la firma de Óscar como Hemmingway, Bianco e Rosso, Es Trampó, Palapa, O’Maley o Il Panzerotto así como residencias particulares y oficinas. Tras 11 años de carrera pictórica, su mayor objetivo es pintar más y siempre más, “Me gustaría pintar la isla entera” a fin mejorar su técnica siempre con el apoyo de su familia quienes llevan animándole desde el principio.
