Hey there Party Lovers!
We are excited to share our July Mini Mag with you! I have to admit that I am sad as there were quite a few amazing parties and photoshoots we couldn’t feature as they had to be postponed due to restrictions and lockdowns. In saying that though, the submissions we have featured in this issue have made this issue a beauty! I know many party business are struggling right now and many of you have had to postpone your children’s birthdays, weddings and all celebrations due to covid and well it’s crap!

Tell us what made you decide to host a Kids Party
Expo?
The journey to Zurri began after Rebecca became a new mum. After attending multiple children’s events, it became apparent that sourcing vendors and suppliers was what most mums struggled with. We quickly realised that lots of the party conversations revolved around “Where did you get that from” and “Who provided you with…” The demand for outsourcing party suppliers has become more common and can sometimes be an overwhelming experience for most people when they don’t even know where to start. We have attended multiple expos and have also helped businesses run their stalls so have seen first hand the benefits these forums can provide to both established and growing businesses. They are also such a great place for people wanting to source suppliers, gain ideas and inspirations and connect directly with people who you are purchasing from. You only have to scroll through social media to see how many amazing small businesses are out there providing quality services in the kids event space, so Zurri wanted to create a space where parents could feel at ease sourcing party supplies.

After speaking to multiple experts in the field and parents and receiving great feedback on the idea we decided to go ahead! We hope the expo will be well received and would love for this experience to become an annual event.
And tell us a little about the Zurri team Zurri is a small team of three sisters, Rebecca, Melissa and Ashley. We all have a different skill set we bring to the table but combined we have found a passion for creating this marketplace for parents to make party planning a little easier while promoting local small businesses. We would love to be able to expand our team in the future with like minded, passionate people.
Who is the expo for? The expo is really for everyone, whether you have an upcoming event or are planning one for the future. From milestone birthdays, religious events, cake smashes, large scale events or a little DIY the expo will be your one stop shop for finding everything you need to wow your guests and make your party planning that much easier!
How do party businesses get involved? The best way is to apply directly through our website or send through an email to info@zurri.com.au. There are still spots available but they are filling quickly! ♥ A NOTE FROM THE ZURRI TEAM: In light of current circumstances we have had to make a difficult decision to postpone the expo until 2022. Although it saddens us to do so, we want to ensure a safe and worthwhile event for everyone involved. We will be excited and as ready as ever to bring you an incredible experience when we can get back to normality.

Each Disney princess had a place in the centre of the party table surrounded with a balloon table runner laced with flowers. We also added princess cut outs to the bonbons that the guest took home as party favours. ♥

Summer Lovin’ Birthday
My middle daughter is born August so her birthdays have always been summer themed. I’ve always wanted to do a beachball garland so I surrounded my theme around that, adding a twist and making it Palm Springs! With cabana service, a pink door, custom hats and truffle french fries you would think you were lounging at the Parker hotel. My favorite detail was recreating a cake my mother made for me in 1992– a blue bundt decorated to look like a pool– the perfect sentimental touch. Pom Pom 1st Birthday Inspired by pom poms from Anthropologie, we designed a retro party filled with texture and a hint of 70’s. We were in the heart of COVID June ‘20 so we had a very small get together in the backyard. Only immediate family that we had with us. We enjoyed cheese and chocolate fondue and my daughters played in the blow up pool in the backyard. I actually made her cake myself and loved how it turned out. The circle backdrop was made out of paper plates and I even did the balloon garland. It was a labor of love, but I was so thrilled to celebrate my baby turning ONE!

Oliver’s Jungle 1st Birthday
When Oliver turned 1 during the Sydney lockdown his 1st Birthday party had to be cancelled. But Mum didnt want her little man to miss out on his big milestone! Mum created a cake fit for her jungle king and with some cute jungle themed balloons, Oliver blew out his candle. Sticking to the then COVID lockdown restrictions the cake was distributed to friends and family. ♥

The Best Baby Shower
The baby shower for our first born was meant to be larger than life. As a host who loves to entertain, we had planned a party with over 70 people. Unfortunately due to the current climate in Brisbane, we were faced with restrictions of 30 people at a

private gathering. Do we cancel? Do we postpone? I decided to go ahead, and each vendor played an important part in making this gathering just as special. They provided the perfect finishes to celebrate our baby boy. The decorations were eye catching and provided a great back drop for memorable photos. Tea and mocktails flowed, being served in gorgeous vintage tea cups. The food was incredibly delicious, thanks to the very flexible Umu Kitchen. Being an avid baker, I made my own 2 teir cake and custom Baby Best cookies for each guest. The ladies and I had a fabulous time regaling stories of first borns and cooing over tiny little outfits. ♥ - Mama Best

Bonfires with Friends Camp Kassidy was located in West Palm Florida. Kassidy turned the big “6” the birthday girl celebrated with close family and friends. The girls celebrated in style with a sleep over and movie night fun. The girls had camp stories, marshmallow roast and lots of fun.
