THURSDAY MARCH 13
2025 | 2:00 PM
We’re thrilled to have you join us for another year as we present this carefully curated group of bulls. We know you have many options when it comes to bull sales, and we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to consider ours. At the core of our program is a commitment to building lasting relationships with our customers and providing bulls that make a genuine impact on your operation. We travel many miles and spend many hours finding the right genetics to bring in to the Excel herd.
This year’s lineup represents our dedication to quality, with bulls that are built to work hard, stay sound, and last for years in your herd. We focus on functional, performancedriven cattle—developed on a lean feed program and raised in large pens to ensure their durability. While they may not be the heaviest or flashiest on sale day, we pride ourselves on delivering bulls that will
continue to thrive long after the bull sale season is over.
Our 2-year-olds are hand-selected as yearlings based on strict criteria and spend their summer on pasture, letting nature and time prove their potential. The yearling bulls this year offer exciting new genetics alongside proven pedigrees. Though small in numbers, our Angus bulls bring depth and quality that we’re proud of, and we’re excited to keep continuing their expansion in our herd.
Our breeding philosophy is simple but progressive: focus on the fundamentals that matter most—fertility, maternal traits, gestation length, calving ease, and structural soundness. Every decision we make is rooted in building better cattle for our buyers, and we welcome the opportunity to help match you with the right bull for your goals. We include lots
of extra information we feel is important to our buyers, and yes EPDs change often but that is what is great about them. The more information that is documented the more accurate they are. If you have any questions about the information in our catalog, please reach out any time.
We invite you to come view the bulls and their dams ahead of the sale or join us on sale day for some great hospitality and down-to-earth conversations about cattle. This isn’t just about selling bulls; it’s about building partnerships and fostering a community of cattle producers who share the same values.
Thank you for your trust, support, and friendship over the years—it means more to us than you know. We’re grateful to do what we love, surrounded by great people like you.

In today's bull sale world there is an unprecedented amount of information when it comes to making purchasing decisions! While selecting on phenotype and EPDs is extremely important, you can find so much value in selecting on indexing traits that are specific to your operation. We take pride in inputting all our data, and pay attention to the small details including gestation, fertility, calving intervals, foot quality, calf vigor and more. These factors all play a role in the science behind the choices we make, and will hopefully help you too when you are making a choice in selecting the right sire. Index $ valuation tools are a multi trait approach, designed to simplify your decision depending on your long term objectives. Keeping in mind it’s still just a selection tool in your toolbox to use along side other key factors such as phenotype. Talk to us about your goals and we can create a $value index based on your operations objectives and help you get the right herd sire.
We don’t feed to create a phenotype, we breed to create the phenotype.

“Welcome to the annual Excel Ranches Bull Sale! We are extremely proud to have worked alongside the Miller family to develop the set of bulls that you see in this catalogue. The bulls feeding program is built around muscle development – exactly what the Limousin breed is known for. The bulls are challenged with a heavy forage based TMR consisting of dry hay and silage to promote lean muscle development and gut health. The supplement that they feed includes chelated and Hydroxy minerals, which have high bioavailability, to ensure their immune function and reproductive ability is maximized. If you have any questions regarding the nutrition behind the sale bulls, feel free to call."
