NOW Description: School Project | SDSU | Spring 2023 Proposed Client: A consortium, creating four bussiness in Liberty Station San Diego. This was a historical building renovation project with an art instalation. From the need of a cohesive and entretaining space where the citizens of San Diego could unwind after a long day NOW was born. This project included two historical buildings and a parking lot located between the buildings. Each team member was in charge of one level of the building, however, the outdoor space, concept development, and art instalation was a team work. Now, is a multifaceted space which seamlessly integrates a winery, spa, italian and japanesse fusion restaurant, and retail store into a cohesive and relaxing space. A hollistic retreat, where wine, wellness, dining, and curated products converge to create a unique and memorable destination. As a team we decide to integrate wabi-sabi design philosophy into our personal design concepts, because its rooted in the acceptance and celebration of imperfections. This design concept embraces simplicity, and encourages a mindful connection to the present moment. This philosphy extends beyond visual aesthetics, influencing a way of living that values the imperfect aspects of life. ORA, winery is located on the upper level and it was inspired by Tuscany's countryside landscape embellished with vineyards and Olive groves, as well as the Italian Renaissence.
