SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR Are you looking for gifts for Xmas? We are holding a book fair in school from Thursday 1st December through to Tuesday 6th December 3.15pm—4.00pm. Every book you buy will help us to earn free books for school. School will receive £1 for every £1 spent if we have sales over £300. Book prices start from as little as £1.00 Please help support us.
COPPULL LIBRARY Working in partnership with Lancashire Police. Bring your bike along to the library for a FREE Bike Security Marking Event with Coppull Neighbourhood Police. This will take place on THURSDAY 29th DECEMEBER 2011 10.00am—12.30pm
HEALTH & SAFETY NOTICE INFANT CORRIDOR 3.15pm Please can we ask for your support at home-time. Can you please wait in the yard for your child to be handed over to you, rather than coming into the cloakroom for them. This enables staff to be sure each child is safely handed over to their parent/carer at the end of the day. If you would like to speak to the teacher, please wait until all the children have been safely handed over, then the teacher will be free to speak with you. SPACEPORT SCIENCE TRIP & STARDOME VISIT Our trip to the Spaceport Exhibitions will take place on Thursday 1st December and Friday 2nd December. The cost is £10 per child and all remaining monies need to be sent into school by FRIDAY 18TH NOVEMEBER along with your signed consent form.
XMAS FAYRE & BINGO We are holding our Xmas Fayre & Bingo night at the British Legion, Springfield Road on Thursday 8th December 5.15pm —8.00pm. More information to follow .
RECYCLING COLLECTIONS Just a reminder that there is a Recycling Textile Bin at the front of school for any old clothes and shoes you may have. Please put clothes in a bag before depositing in the bin and shoes should be tied together in pairs. Recycling in this way helps to raise funds for our school and others overseas. INK CARTRIDGES & BATTERIES We also have recycling boxes for ink cartridges and batteries in the school foyer. BOX TOPS FOR BOOKS & MORRISONS ‘LETS GROW’ VOUCHERS We are collecting Box top vouchers from the Nestle cereal boxes and Let’s Grow vouchers from Morrison’s supermarket. The collection boxes are in the school foyer. St CATHERINES HOSPICE—FURRY FRIENDS Once again we are selling furry friends on behalf of St Catherine’s Hospice for £1.00 each. Available from the school office. CASUAL WELFARE/KITCHEN STAFF If you are interested in placing your name on a casual staff list please contact the school office.
SPORTS ZONE ADVERTISING Advertising spaces are still available in our Sports Zone. If you would like to advertise your company please contact Mr Chambers in school.

You can do this by calling school on our pupil absence line. This is 01257 791237 option 1 or alternatively by sending in a note when your child returns to school. This helps us to keep our records up to date. PE/Games Lessons Your child will need to have the following items of kit in school (labelled with their name and in a labelled bag) :T shirt & shorts Pumps Sweat shirt & sweat pants Trainers EARRINGS LCC Health & Safety Team advise that earrings should not be worn for any PE, Sports or swimming. It is preferable that your child does not wear earrings for school, and if they do, they must be able to remove them themselves before PE/sports lessons and have responsibility for their own earrings. If ears are newly pierced then you must cover your child’s ears with plasters on PE/sports days.
