Fundación Villanueva, Caracas Join us for a presentation by architect Paulina Villanueva as she reflects on the life and work of her father, renowned Venezuelan architect Carlos Raul Villanueva. One of the most influential Latin American architects of the twentieth century with a career spanning four decades, Villanueva played a major role in the modernization of many cities in Venezuela. His most celebrated work is the Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas, included on the 2014 World Monuments Watch and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. It is a masterpiece of urban design that transformed the city with its use of innovative technology and functional yet daring architectural designs.
