Cardio Low Impact A classic 20-minute choreographed cardio session combined with muscle strength and endurance training. This class offers full body conditioning with gentle low impact moves. Level of difficulty = 1-2 Step Cardio This high intensity step class is filled with fun choreographed routines to challenge your coordination and build your cardiovascular fitness. Classic step fitness at its best! Level of difficulty = 2-3 Step Combo This class combines the step cardio and choreography you love with exercises for muscular strength and endurance. Dance Fitness Zumba® Fitness We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low intensity and high intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning, dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often described as exercise in disguise. Level of difficulty = 1-3 Zumba® Toning Perfect for those who want to party, but put extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles! Functional Fitness Barre Plus This fitness class enhances balance, agility, resistance, (active) recovery and eloquence by combining ballet inspired movement patterns with the added bonus of strength and conditioning segments. A variety of resistance tools will be used. Level of difficulty = 2-3 Boot Camp This athletic, interval-based training will challenge you. Develop your strength, endurance, power, speed, agility, balance and coordination using body weight movement, combined with functional training, and equipment focused exercises. Level of difficulty = 2-3 F.I.T.T. (Functional Integrated Targeted Training) Develop a base of strength, while also improving cardio, balance, and agility in this 1 hour total-body workout. Circuit Training This circuit training class will develop your muscular strength and endurance as well as cardiovascular fitness. Circuit Training is a full body workout, using a station format, dumbbells, tubing and bodyweight movements. Level of difficulty = 2-3 Core Conditioning & Core Express Train your abdominal and back muscles to support your spine, improve posture, enhance power and performance, and prevent low back pain. Work towards that 6 pack while developing muscle balance and stability. Level of difficulty = 2-3 H.I.I.T. High Intensity Interval Training challenges your body with intense bouts of activity mixed with structured active rest intervals. Indoor Cycling Cycle & Strength Take a group ride to challenge your cardiovascular fitness, then dismount and work on your muscular strength and endurance for the second half of the class. Level of difficulty = 1-3 Cycle Fit This high energy, indoor cycling, group ride will improve your cardiovascular fitness and cycling efficiency using intervals and drills along with visualizations for motivation. Mind and Body Hatha Yoga Explore traditional yoga with an emphasis on alignment, physical awareness, relaxation and breathing techniques in a supportive, non-competitive atmosphere. Modifications will be introduced for individual needs and injuries. Choose to Move helps to introduce the habit of physical activity into your daily life in ways that make sense for you. Choose to Move is free and flexible, and provides you with motivation and support to become more active. In Choose to Move, you receive both individual and group support. You will work with a trained activity coach to develop and stick to a physical activity plan made just for you. You choose activities that you know you will enjoy and are able to do! This should be a re-resistant zone, free of all materials that could easily ignite from a wildre.

REGULAR MAINTENANCE: Regularly clean your roof, gutters, etc. of debris.

FIRESMART RENOVATIONS: As your budget allows, renovate your home with re-resistant materials, mesh debris screens, a chimney spark arrestor, etc.

FIRESMART LANDSCAPING: Keep woodpiles, propane tanks, outbuildings and combustibles at least 10 metres away from your home. Consult the FireSmart © Guide to Landscaping for more tips.

YARD MAINTENANCE: Regularly mow your lawn. Remove deadfall, coniferous trees and other ammable vegetation. Sweep your decks and rake up tree needles, leaves and debris.

Reduce fuels in this area by thinning and pruning vegetation and trees. This will slow a re’s spread.

TREE SPACING: Space trees at least three metres apart.

PRUNING TREES: Prune all branches within two metres of the ground.

REMOVE SURFACE FUELS: Regularly clean up accumulations of fallen branches, dry grass, needles and other ammable debris from the ground.

PLANTING NEW TREES: If you’re going to plant new trees in this zone, consider planting deciduous species like aspen, poplar and birch. They have lower ammability rates.

30 - 100 metres

Try to thin out trees and other vegetation. This will help reduce a wildre’s intensity and slow its spread.

THIN AND REMOVE CONIFEROUS TREES: Space dominant trees at least three metres apart, and remove any understory trees that are in close proximity that could act as a ladder for re to move into the tree tops and spread. Retain deciduous trees which are resistant to wildre.
